does anyone think they redid the voices strictly from a compression/audio quality perspective? my memory of the original is that things were fairly compressed to save on disk space. Most of the redos if not all of them sound totally fine to me and in much nicer quality
I really like how you can tell apart Adam's face from the makeup in the remaster. His expressions really show how broken this man was left after his audience was torn apart by zombies.
Weird Larry got turned into a white dude. I get making him look less like a racist wojack cause oof that original design didn't age well, but still odd he's a white dude.
Why the hell does everyone in the remake look like they're 20 years older than they're supposed to be? In the original game Thomas and Jack are meant to be teens, but Thomas looks like he's 40. What also doesn't help is they gave everyone really desaturated hair, which makes it look like almost everyone is greying. It honestly seems like they made an old man and woman model first and used it for the base of every character aside from the main cast.
what i really liked about echoes of wisdom is how powerful echoes feel. you get the bed in the escape sequence and you think: wow, i'll probably use bed stairs for the rest of the game. then you find the spiders. then you find the water block. then you find the floor tile. the same for combat echoes. the "stop hitting yourself" urchin. sword moblins. bomb fish. lizalphos. and then you just humilate bosses with a zerg army of octorocks.
I’ll be honest, some of why they removed references to the Vietnam war might be due to just how much time has passed in the real world. Cliff’s age and appearance in the remake don’t reflect a guy who was a veteran of the Vietnam war. They could have changed the references to a more recent American invasion of another country.

First game I want a va replacement mod for, not like the lip syncing is perfect. 90% of these voices weren't even offensive in the original, this is just a downgrade with better graphics and 1-1 gameplay. $50 btw.
Fair enough, I considered it but I think the Lv3 Lizalfos was more useful since he can jump attack and re position behind enemies. It felt like Lynel and Chain Ball guys put out more dps as well.
I'm not super picky with the voice acting in the remaster like I'm seeing comments ,but the animation and lighting in the remaster are really impressive.
Today was a great day, i learned something new. Thanks the vid. Im currently on 80-85% exploration and ned to do the vulcan and the mountain area, so there was no spoiler in it for me but some method was interesting.
I also relied on the sword moblin level 2 for much of the early game. It costs 4 and has all the benefits of the level 3 you mentioned. It has more HP and attack power than any other enemy in the first 2 dungeons and doesn't even take damage most of the time with its shield.
WARNING ! THIS COMMENT CONTAIN A BIT OF SPOILERS FOR ONE OF THE DUNGEONS ! DON'T READ IF YOU DIDN'T DO THE RIVER ONE ! Like, at the beginning of the Zora dungeon, the floor breaks and you fall. You then have to do a whole part underwater. But I was like "Nah, I'm outta here. So I litteraly just put a bed, a walltula, and walked up the wall. I was doing that for the sake of it, but it litteraly worked ! I was rolling on the floor from laughter after that
ToTK: Link hurry up, come save me!!! I don't wanna be a dragon forever!!! EoW: I never knew it is so much fun to glide over Hyrule, no wonder why it took him so long, he can wait *LMAO*
