2:10 TOTALLY AGREE!!!!!!! I paid for PRO a while back and now I have to pay the same as someone that just paid for ARTIST 3:00 The said that you`ll have one year of updates so you shoudn´t have to pay for 7.1 I´m in the same page as you bro!!! Im still using version 5 and with this sh*t I can see that I did good or I would have to pay for 2 updates!! I´m not even gonna bother installing version 6 (if I buy it) now They just changed the name not to far ago!!! Oh well we´ll see
And let's not forget that if you have a problem with Studio One there is no way to speak to an actual person. Trying to solve complex problems via email is really no good!!!
The upgrade path for Studio One 7 seems similar to Bitwig, and my last upgrade using Bitwig was in September 2019. At that time, I didn’t find anything compelling enough to justify the cost. Meanwhile, companies like Ableton and Steinberg consistently increase their upgrade prices during their limited-time offers. Rather than fostering loyalty, they seem to penalize users who don’t upgrade when prompted. This is part of why I switched to Studio One. While I'm uncertain about their future plans, it feels like many companies are alienating their user base. On a positive note, FL Studio is always an option, though they might benefit from having a donations page.
Been using studio one since version 1.5 and in my opinion they are just following the trends. If you look at the other ones outside of the ones you named they follow the same format. And the reason that alot of companies are doing this is because we as creatives keep wanting new things (especially newer creatives). These companies are working for money and you can see that with everything. I still use studio one 3 and pro tools 12 and everything works (the only one I updated was FL studio because I have every installer since I bought it). Honestly to avoid all of the recurring cost is to go hardware and leave the computer or just stop upgrading once you get your system to where you like it and is working for you
You got it quite wrong. You get one year of updates, minor or major, when you purchase a license or upgrade. You will NOT have to pay for minor upgrades or anything, you buy one year of updates and after that year you get to keep them. It is actually really easy and really transparent and was explained very clearly in the video, i really can't understand how it is is humanly possible to misunderstand that new model, it really does not get any more simple than that...
@@grenzmord you only get one year of updates. After that you will have to pay for each update. It was said in the video they released. Yes they are giving one year of updates but they are only doing that to keep people from getting mad.
My understanding is you get a yr of updates from the moment u purchase, which includes a perpetual license after that yr u can subscribe or purchase again for another yr of updates which mainly will be to get what ever these feature drops will be. Unless they give us a new sampler similar to the chopping process in maschine, I’m sticking with 5 cause I use 3rd party vsts anyway
Yes I get it. I use more 3rd party plugins then stock plugins. I love studio one workflow and I'm hoping they make it better. With them not saying what's coming with 7 and making us pay for minor updates. it is giving me the feeling that they are out of ideas.
Aye bruh you got it wrong. If you buy S1 v7, you will get every update over the next year or until v8 drops. At that time you can decide if you wanna upgrade then. If not, you keep the v7 perpetual license and all the updates that came with it before v8 dropped. So you’ll get 7.1, 7.2, 7.3, 7.4 etc.
@@EHall-yx9xy yes but it's not guaranteed that on a year they will drop v8. It's still shitty that they want you to pay for updates but again. Im willing to see what they are doing. Maybe they know what they are doing.
@@uniquefrom99doors There won't be any version numbers after 7. I guess they are just going to call it Studio One Pro. After V7 if you want stay current, it will cost you $150 a year.
I get it. But sometimes you have to let some beats or songs go. And other times you need people on the outside to let you know if it's really good or bad.
Good points. Haters gonna look at you and judge and not even listen to what you saying. I agree with your opinion on what drake could’ve done to come out stronger on the other side of his current situation.
Drake takes himself way too seriously. If he just relaxes and be himself he can have fun with what's going on and come out stronger on the other end. Right now he is stressed out and spiraling
keep it bro, i can definitely tell you put some time and effort into this. personally i keep all my beats. even the dumb unfinished 5 minute ones. your music tells a story. great vibes from this track though, ima definitely play this back
