In these crazy times, thank you for the nostalgia hit. Do you have any info or footage of the animatronic gorilla band that sang love potion No.9? (it was in a yellow corridor that paralleled the main street towards Tinkaboo factory)
My special needs school of Teskey King School from Hull did went as part of Kids Outs 2000 events and been on this and with my dad by the event with police cars us on the ways. Also went with school in 2001 as well
@@PleasureIslandArchive Thankyou, thats a shame it's private but at least there is some record of it and now i know it wasn't a fever dream! Can you remember what the band was called?
Sad to think this could be one of the last videos of the place before it goes. Had lots of fun memories as a kid with my grandad here whenever I came to visit him. I miss him and the adventures we had at the park. Rip
I’ll be uploading a more comprehensive and in-depth video around the site soon! This was mainly just to promote the collection of photographs from around the site being shared over the coming weeks!
4:24 Well that's interesting, the vehicle appears to be off the ground. Typically all other S&S towers manufactured before mid 2001 would only inch off the ground and many of them were updated by 2005. It's weird how it would raise before launching in 2003 but it reverted back to the old style in 2004 up till 2014.
Been in 2000 for kids outs 2000 event as my special needs school of Teskey King School was one of them and the 2001 with school and takes my dad with me age was 8 and 9 years old
Such a lovely site left to decay for such a long time. I know it’d be sad to see if redeveloped but it’s still so sad to see it in such uncared for condition
In 2019, this attraction opened at the "Fantasilandia" amusement park in Chile under the name "Super Hero", it was operational until two months ago when the park decided to sell it to Brazil.
@@PleasureIslandArchive at some point I'm planning on doing Fantasy Island so might pop by with a drone and get some proper aerials before its gone then!
Amazing footage Alfie! Very sad to see the remains of the park rotting away for over 6 years now. It will probably be demolished very soon. Hopefully Pleasure Island Cleethorpes will be remembered in some way as part of the new development.
0:05 I see the Hyperblaster and notice it has nothing on its top. Is that how it was or was it photoshopped? If that's how it was when was the top banner added?
Use to go to pleasure Island many times back in the early to mid 90's. Probably been there around 20 time's the last time was in 2004. It's sad to see what was a great day out. All now left abandoned. I hope that one day something will become of it again in the future.
