Hello, very interesting functionality. I have a problem though. In the draft mode, I created my own email with the tools you provide (rectangles, texts, etc.) and I add picture by draging it from my computer into the page. Everything seemed to be working but once I finished, I check it with the preview and all my work was turn into an image. Nothing was clickable, neither the writings. I don't understand how to turn what I did into an mail without using the canvas... Please help me! 🙇
Hey there, no worries! It sounds like you may have accidentally put some layers inside nested Figma groups/frames, which will automatically convert those into static fallback images (eg, docs.hypermatic.com/emailify/design/fallback-images ); to keep the content as rich text/HTML, you'll need to use the design tools provided by the plugin, and then ensure any new text layers are added directly inside of a "Column" layer, and that will keep them as editable. Feel free to reach out via email at www.hypermatic.com/contact/ if you need a hand!
I would like to thank you for this video. I'm in Brazil and I looked a lot for how to take my work from Figma to Power Point in an editable way, and I only managed to find it through your video. It is very well explained, detailed and helped me a lot. Thank you very much!
Hey there, Thanks for this informational video. I have created an email using emailify free version, I’m not able to export it even though I still have 10 free exports left . Can you please help me?
Hi there, great product! I have a concern: I duplicated an Animated Presentation template built using Pitchdeck from the internet in Figma, however upon opening it as my Figma file -> when I click on the integrated Pitchdeck plugin, I can't seem to see the animation settings and how they are built. Everything is reset to "No Animation" even though the File preview works correctly with the original animations. This makes it impossible for me to study how the animation is built or to tweak it from the template version. Is this normal? Or I am missing something?
Hey there, unfortunately, native Figma Prototype animations aren't supported by the plugin, so you'll need to apply any animations to your slide layers directly via the Pitchdeck plugin interface. Hope that helps!
@@hypermatic_tutorials So are you saying that each animation needs to be done from scratch, and that we can not use templates (which are also animated using Pitchdesk in Figma by somebody)?
@@zainabnp All good, sorry for any confusion there; if the Pitchdeck slides and layers were already animated using the plugin, then those should automatically load up in the plugin when the Figma file is duplicated. But if the animations were creating using Figma's Prototyping tools, those won't show up in the plugin. Feel free to get in touch via hypermatic.com/contact if you need a hand
Hey there! You'll just need to make sure that the same fonts are installed on the computer you're opening the .docx file with, and also make sure the .docx file is being opened in the Microsoft Word desktop app (as sadly Google Docs or Office 365 web don't support the features to position the text layers)
@@hypermatic_tutorials Thank you, but still don't work for me. I have tried change my font to Arial on the first attempt and 2nd Helvetica. I might be missing something....
Hey there! Just confirming that you can edit the PPTX files with the latest version of the plugin (which has been updated since this video was recorded)
Hey there, just double-checking that you've enabled the "Upload Hosted Image URLs" toggle before exporting the HTML (docs.hypermatic.com/emailify/export/images), as this will automatically host the images if you don't want to manually upload them. Hope that helps!
CopyDox is a waste of time. Ive spent hours trying to take a word template. It never opens showing the design. Only shows txt. No matter what Word format you export in. Believe me. Ive tried Microsoft online and Desktop. Exported about 20+ times. TOTAL WASTE OF TIME and money
Hey there! That's correct, there are 10 free Pro trials included, and then you can optionally upgrade to Pro to continue having unlimited exports and access to all of the other features in the plugin, too
Hey Ross, thanks for reaching out! As long as the layer(s) have an SVG export setting that should get picked up by the plugin; feel free to send an email via hypermatic.com/contact if you're still having any issues
Hey there, thanks for the comment! No worries, this usually happens if any layers in your Emailify frame were designed in Figma outside of the plugin. Unfortunately, Emailify can't convert email designs that weren't created using the plugin's design features (as shown in the video above). Please feel free to get in touch at hypermatic.com/contact if you need a hand with anything!
Hey there, sorry for any issues there! Unfortuantely, the <canvas> export option has been deprecated due to some technical limitations, but you can still export to HTML or GSAP (Greensock) instead. Feel free to reach out via hypermatic.com/contact if you need a hand with anything!
Thanks, great tutorial👍🏻 Can I do this in book cover design? I am calling out to other friends, if you have any information, I would appreciate it if you could share it.🤓
Hey, thanks for the feedback! For sure, you could use this to export a book cover design for print; you'll just need to ensure the Figma frame is the correct size, and then export the PDF at 300dpi in CMKY
Glad you liked it! If you run Bannerify on a new/blank Figma file, it will automatically help you create all those preset-sized frames when you first run the plugin. Hope that helps!
I am having a issue viewing any image in my HTML export. When previewing they appear perfectly fine. I am exporting as HTML Email. I’m a missing something?
Hey there, all good, thanks for the question! if you're ready to send out the HTML (via an email marketing platform), you'll need to make sure that the images are hosted online somewhere; either by enabling the "Hosted Images" toggle in the Emailify export settings, or hosting the exported images yourself and setting the base URL for your email to your own hosted image path online: docs.hypermatic.com/emailify/usage.html#setting-a-custom-base-image-url-for-an-email
Any idea how to stop strokes from scaling when seen in different screen sizes? This keeps happening and can't find a fix for it. Thanks a lot for sharing.
Hey there, any borders (eg. around "column", "row" or "button" layers) should be staying the same width across different screen sizes (as long as they're not part of an image), but feel free to reach out via email at hypermatic.com/contact if you need a hand!
Hey there, Figma has moved this since the video was recorded; it should now be in the bottom left of your desktop app home screen, or the little "Globe" icon next to the "Home" icon; or you can click the "Resources" icon inside your Figma file's toolbar at the top.
@@RalphOpinion All good, you can access the plugin page directly via this link, too: www.figma.com/community/plugin/900893606648879767/copydoc-text-kit
Hey there, sorry for any confusion! This feature only works for the Microsoft Word desktop app; the plugin does have another export option for Google Docs, but it only exports the content without any extra images or formatting (as it doesn't support those, sadly)
Apologies for any issues there! If you re-open your Figma file and re-run the Figma plugin, that should work as expected again now. Feel free to reach out directly via email at hypermatic.com/contact if you still have any issues, glad to help!
Hey there! It will keep all of the text layers separate and editable, and then also keep any direct "child" layers inside your frame as their own individual image layers, too.
Hey Jennifer! Thanks for the great question; the Hubspot API sadly doesn't support creating modules, but it is possible to upload the HTML to Hubspot: docs.hypermatic.com/emailify/usage.html#uploading-your-emails-to-hubspot Feel free to reach out at hypermatic.com/contact if you need a hand with anything!
Love the channel! Can comments be linked to specific elements in a frame's content hierarchy? Specifically like CopyDoc's text export does with FrameNode IDs
Hey, thanks so much! Good question, the Figma comment nodes are a bit weird, unfortunately, so it's kind of up to what Figma decides to apply to it. We do have another plugin called Commentful which has its own comment system that allows you to gather feedback on specific nodes, but this doesn't tie into the native Figma comments (tutorial for that one is here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ta9IvkSXaG4.html)
Hey there! Great question, the prototype interactions that Figma and XD both support should automatically get carried over when you export the .xd file from Figma
