Welcome to the channel! Here, we will be posting content focused on one of our favorite activities - cruising! My family and I cruise as often as we can, and we are hoping our experiences help you out when planning or considering a cruise. We post almost every week. Content includes room reviews, ports, ship tours, tips & tricks and other videos about the cruising experience. Please let me know of any questions you might have or requests for content and we will see what we can do!
We are staying in this exact room next June. Do you think they will have the balcony fixed by then? I wonder if I could put in a request. This really bothers me
I believe they are upgrading the ship in dry dock before your cruise. I would assume they will be repainting everywhere and most of my concerns should be addressed.
thank you, I'm going to try and figure this out. Hubby has terminal disease and requires a lot of rest time, so I do hang out in the cabin a bit with him sometimes. I get bored cuz the TV sux. I'll take my ipad, I know what hdmi cord is but not sure of what that white hdmi connector is.. off to search... Leaving for Uptopia soon so want to try and accomplish this. Thanks a bunch
On Utopia they should have the newer capabilities that Odyssey, Wonder and Icon have. You do not need to hook up directly to the TV. You can cast your device to the TV. I’ll try to do a video on this when on Icon next week.
@@CruisesRoomsReviews thanks, we leave on the Utopia for a B2B Monday Aug 12th, so we'll be gone, but thanks anyway. Going to watch your video again and figure out and hopefully we can get it to work, if not, not a big deal. :) thanks again
@@SigmaRho2922 Depends what you mean. If you want native streaming (casting), you can only do it on Odyssey, Icon, Wonder & Utopia. Any other ship you need to connect a device to an HDMI port on your room TV, if you can change the input. I’ve streamed this way on Grandeur, the oldest ship in the fleet.
Thanks for the video. I heard they recently put in nightlights in the bathroom…thus you don’t really need to turn your light switch on. Is that what you found?
You are welcome! Formal night details for your cruise are listed in the App & the cruise compass. Most of the time it is "Dress your best" now. Typically for cruises 7 nights are longer - there will be two formal nights.
Yes - I do agree. At peak times - the pools can become very crowded in the afternoon on sea days. But I've noticed in the morning or evening - there isn't many people in the pools and they can be a great time to go swimming.
This will be our 2nd Freedom cruise going to 8days eastern caribbean..nov 23-dec 1-2024 ..I don't care for this updated JS ..we will be in cabin 9268 deck 9. Like older JS better. Last nov 4-11th 2023 did Radiance of seas with friends, LOVED that ship decor, elegance, we stayed in GS 1060 balcony was HUGE and cabin beautiful. We got great deal using husband's RCCL credit card as this cruise will be using points. Difference between GS and JS price on this trip over $2800 extra and for us on this trip would rather save $2800. Thank you for providing the video to give us ideas. I don't like the step up on tubs or to balconies I get clumsy stub toes easily and I do not drink espresso's. I do not like ship coffee/bitter/strong so I drink hot chocolate instead. Oh closets seem excessive ..like older JS I do like walk in closets so that's nice touch. I can't wait til we cruise in Nov /thanksgiving cruise getting away on awesome vacatiion for us. Thank you again for video.
@@CruisesRoomsReviews quick question. Since coffee so bitter what is your suggestion is cafe promenade better coffee or MDR? how is MDR food and windjammer? heard really good. Radiance had best buffet so far(windjammer) and almost better than MDR. MDR food tended to be bland ..fish & southern fried chicken was excellent. Others bland.
I have one for Independence of the Seas. Same class of ship so room should be similar. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-KCUQCy9m61k.htmlsi=clNdcrctfKtVpPYS
I'm not very familiar with the FireStick - but I thought those plug right in without an extension cord. Either way - you can bring an HDMI cable onboard - just not a power extension cord.
Really depends what device you are hooking up. First thing you need is a standard HDMI cable. I was using an iPad, so I used a Lightning to HDMI converter that Apple makes. Other devices may have a USB-C port. A laptop may have an HDMI port….so no converter necessary.
The for the video I'll be on Vision in 3 months IMO smaller sz ships mean a more intimate experience, which is something that has been lost amongst the throngs of people who insist that the mega ships are the only way to have a good vacation
