Tina, one of the best videos I have watched that both tells a story, documents the trail, and inspires. I am going next week with my hearing service dog, Mick! Wish I had you as a guide!
Enjoyed traveling with you both! Love the humorous antics, made the trip even better! I'm unable to go above about 5000 feet so I live these trails vicariously through people like you :-) Thanks
I’m happy enjoyed the journey! I’m sorry you can’t go above 5,000 feet. It warms my heart to know you’re able to experience it through videos like mine though. That’s one of the reasons I made this :)
More than "pack it in, pack it out" pack out more than you pack in. Face it, animals get into packs, wind blows and things just get forgotten or dropped. Besides, it helps keep the wilderness clean.
I always pick up things I find. Regardless of circumstance as to why it was there. There’s no harm in reminding everyone to be a little more aware. That’s all. I did however witness someone intentionally drop things multiple times. It does happen.
Agreed, I think litter you find off the beaten path is accidental. Love the attitude, if we all pick up a little extra the beautiful landscapes and we all better for it.
Another excellent video. i like that you identify the plants, animals, butterflies etc. Please leave them up a little longer Hard to read and your great pics in such a short time. i look forward to your upcoming adventures.
Thank you! And thank you for the notes, I will be sure to extend the text time on future videos so they can be read easier 😀 input like this helps me improve my videos to make them more enjoyable for everyone.
This is one of the VERY BEST JMT/Sierra videos I’ve seen since I started watching them 2 years ago. The photography/ videography is EXCELLENT. Rarely matched and not often beaten. What I especially enjoyed was the interaction between Bear Moon and Stink Bug. I hope to see many further m/future adventures that you alluded to! Bravo! I’m forwarding this video to all my friends and family. 🎉
Thank you so very much for your kind words. I’m so happy you enjoyed it. It took me almost a year to edit it all together and it warms my heart to know that the effort shows. ❤🙏🏻 I can’t wait to share the next adventure 😊
Awesome work Tina, thanks for sharing your journey. Loved the sounds and feel of nature, educating us on the flowers, butterflies and the little animals and mostly your feelings. You took me to a journey.
You found a rapper on the trail…..not a dump site. Rather the assuming some uncaring soul just aimlessly tossed their garbage…. maybe dabble in the possibility it just slipped out of a pocket or a pack? 😊
I found more than just a wrapper, including many used feminine products. But who wants to see or hear about a bloody tampon…I also witnessed an individual toss bar wrappers repeatedly. Perhaps it was unfair to assume that the coffee bean pack was intentionally left behind but I felt inclined to say something as a general statement. No harm in reminding people to be a little more careful with what they bring with them. 😊
You guys were so much fun to watch!! I too hiked the JMT in 2022 but SOBO. I summited Mt Whitney on July 21 and plan on doing it again in 2024. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the watch! I’m so glad you enjoyed it! I’d say maybe we passed each other, but you were most likely ahead of us! I miss it so much. Won’t make it back in 2024 but hoping for 2025! Happy trails!
I have really enjoyed watching you two hike the JMT. The humor and joking that you too do is awesome. Have you two hiked the AT yet. I didn’t see that you have in your videos. Have you two thought about hiking it. I would love to see those videos. Enjoyed it. Thank you. SloMoe.
That was just outstanding! Great job, and you guys made me laugh out loud! Thank you for the very thorough coverage of not just the trail, but also it's creatures and flora. Beautiful stills, you are a wonderful photographer! (do you by any chance sell your prints? I would love to have the one taken from the south side of Garnet Lake at sunset. Garnet is my favorite lake on the trail). By the way.... was your trek done in 2022? If so, I think we may have been maybe 2 days ahead of you, at the northern section past Garnet.....(?) I really enjoyed this, thank you!
We've seen a bunch of trail videos and toys is by far the best one yet! We're all excited to see where your next adventure takes you! DON'T EVER STOP SHARING your experiences 😊
Oh look another john muir trail movie just like 10000s of others already on here .... couldnt possibly just go hike it without making a boring vid about it, remenber it didnt happen if you didnt brag about it and try to make a buck off it
This was a fun video to watch. Great that you don't take yourselves too seriously and just enjoy the moment! I have a question... I have a bad knee (arthritis and meniscus issues), what is the knee brace he is wearing? It looks legit! I need to do something to get back out on the trail...
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it! Nature brings out our inner child for sure. Life is too short to be serious all the time. This is the exact brace he used. He said it’s knee specific, so if you try it, just be sure to select the correct one. He has tried MANY braces over the years and swears by this one. I hope it helps get you back out there! Thank you so much for your quick response! I looked at it and it is on the expensive side for braces, but if it works.... Would you mind saying what he needs a brace for? As I said before, mine is meniscus/arthritis. If you want to keep that private, no worries. It is just that you 2 are way too young to have knee issues like us old farts! Thanks again @@TinaGrimm82
@@TinaGrimm82 Now its my turn to apologize for a late response. Question, how long did it take for him to notice a difference? Was it immediate or did it take time? I tried for 2 weeks and no real improvement so I returned it to Amazon so I could get a refund, however I found another one from the same brand that seems to be a bit better for my issue. Still not good so I wonder if I just didn't give it enough time. Sorry to keep bothering you about his brace, I just miss hiking so much! I've had to bail on 4 hikes into the Grand Canyon after just a couple of miles. Thanks!
Nice job on the video. That was a touching moment you had with your dad. I'm 70 years old and I still miss mine. Being in places like this always brings back strong memories of the things I use to do with him. Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal, and love leaves a memory no one can steal.
Thank you very much. Every year I try and go out in the wilderness on his birthday to “spend time with him.” It’s become a tradition that I don’t ever see changing. Thank you for sharing your beautiful words.
I was so happy to meet you as well and share the journey for a few Days! It was such a delight. Thank you for taking the time to watch my video and revisit such an incredible time. ❤️
I just watched the whole thing again….. good god I miss that time. What an amazing trip in every way So lucky to have shared such a special experience with all y’all!
OMG! So wonderful experiencing this incredible adventure through your eyes via the camera. So enjoyed watching and you made me feel like I was right there with you both each day of your journey! 😊❤😊
Great video! Really captured the day to day reality of backpacking. All the ups and downs. Now all I can think of is going back… Thanks for sharing your experience.
