A VARIETY of Amateur Photography / Cinematography / Time lapse this includes Landscape, Woodland and Macro stills. My gear includes Nikon Z 7II, Nikon D7200, GoPro Hero 10 & 9 and the DJI Mini 2 Drone. I also have the Fujifilm X-T1.
I'm not a professional photographer, but I post video's on You Tube to help people over come the same photographic obstacles I face. All photos posted will have camera settings ie. Camera Type, Lens used, Shutter Speed, Aperture (F Stop) setting and ISO. I hope to get more subscribers as time goes on, but for the most part posting on RU-vid is a great way to share this passion.
Decent video, I would have liked to see a little more of how you set up each shot. I also did enoy the series of pictures you took with the shooting data at the end. Thank you
@leod1671 - Thanks for the comment appreciate it. All these shots were hand held. I did actually try a handheld panorama of the scene which failed. I should have use the tripod for that. This makes me think I should do a video talking about the importance of taking your time and if you have certain tools at your disposal that you should take the time to consider using them. Yes I will try and do a video in the future explaining my set up for certain compositions.
When my Nikon D-80 died, I bought a D-7200. I have never been sorry for that choice. You captured some great shots and your video was a pleasure, I don't travel and I don't get out as much anymore even for local shots... so I really enjoyed your photo choices.
Mark thanks for the comments. I haven't been out in a while myself as Winter where I live can be brutal and uninspiring. I'm hoping in the near future to upgrade to the Nikon Z7 ii with the 24-200mm Lens and the 14-30mm Wide Angle lens. I'm going to give my D7200 to my wife as she seems to be showing an interest, plus it has sentimental value as it used to be my Dad's so I'd have a hard time parting with it.
Great shots I have one and though I've more or less switched over to Lumix GX9 and G9 (great IBIS), I still think that the D7200 is probably the best crop sensor camera ever made. I'd never sell mine and now mostly use it with a Nikon 75-300 FX lens for long distance shooting Happy New Year to you too 📷👍
@@varietyphoto Hey! Hi Tim... Not yet but I will be glad to.. A question if you don't mind.. A lot of negative comments about the Sigma compared to Tokina 11-16 which I wanted... However I think people are being a little harsh for I am impressed with the Sigma..
The only issue I have with the Sigma 10-20mm is the fact that it will not Auto Focus in Live View. This can be a little frustrating when your subject or foreground is low to the ground. There are ways around it. It Auto Focuses through the viewfinder perfectly fine. It initially worked fine when I first purchased it and then it stopped working for some reason. Not sure if this happened when I was out in the field and removed the lens to switch to another lens without powering the camera off first. Once the issue appeared that's when I researched the issue and found out other Photographers have the exact same issue which means it's not the camera, but the lens. Still using it, just have to do different things when subject is low to the ground. I did have a Sigma Prime lens before this one and Kind of regret selling it. Lessons learned for me moving forward and when I do get around to purchasing the Nikon Z7 II - I will stick with the Nikon Lens. @@sergeantcrow
Hey Danny the answer is yes long exposures shots usually with a filter like a NISI 6 stop or 8 stop The link below to Amazon is the kit I purchased. www.amazon.ca/NiSi-82mm-Circular-Filter-Kit/dp/B07JLT6X6G/ref=sr_1_8?crid=312QM3NH067AL&keywords=nisi+filter+kit&qid=1679060872&sprefix=NISI+Filters%2Caps%2C86&sr=8-8
My D7200 is my favorite super crisp image camera in my arsenal of mostly full frame Nikons. I also have the Sigma 10 to 20mm lens. An unbeatable combination for incredibly detailed nature, and landscape photography. Also excellent for street photography.
Joe please watch this video I posted on issues I'm currently having with my Sigma 10-20mm. Maybe you could offer a solution as I have not found one yet. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BehS6VcolAo.html - feel free to subscribe to my channel. Thanks, Tim.
@@varietyphoto I Haven’t had that issue so far, and I’ve used the lens a lot. Attached to a D7200, D300s, and even a D600. I would limp along with the lens as it currently is if switching to the Z series cameras, then maybe get warranty repair and then sell the lens.
Love the camera make sure you enable back button focus see link (ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gc_SM_H22lg.html) Stick to Nikon lenses although I do have the Sigma 10-20mm for wide angle shots, but should have researched a little more because the auto focus in live view does not work anymore with this lens (known issue) all my Nikon lenses work perfectly.
