Unfortunately the "dry -barrel hydrants require certain maintenance quite often.. If you are fortunate enough to live in an area that doesn't have freezing temperatures the wet -barrel types last much longer when it comes to maintaining.. Some are still in service that have been there since the 1950s in parts of southern California and don't need to have all the Caps on to operate just one of the ports.. I've seen many that are even missing all of the Caps and can still be used
They require much more maintenance for sure, were I am in charge of them there all dry barrel and we constantly have a list of nuisance issues with hydrants from internal parts getting wet then sitting dry and corroding
Mcwane cares nothing for human life they dump lead on water aquifers on private property and then steal it through corruption at the Jeffco courthouse.
