London is well-known for its variable and often rainy weather, but it can experience spells of hot, dry conditions, especially in the summer. While it's true that the city's climate includes a fair amount of rain, recent years have seen unusually warm and dry periods, which can feel intense due to the urban heat island effect. However, such weather is not constant, and London typically experiences a mix of rain and mild temperatures throughout the year. If you're noticing prolonged hot and dry conditions, it might be part of broader climate patterns affecting the region. Generally, Londoners are more accustomed to cooler and more temperate weather, with rain being a regular occurrence.
Wimbledon is indeed a beautiful venue, renowned for its well-maintained grass courts and iconic traditions. The All England Club, where the tournament is held, is a historic and picturesque setting, making it a special place for both players and spectators. Besides the famous Centre Court and other playing grounds, the venue also includes lush gardens and classic British architecture, contributing to its unique charm.
Thank you, Adrian! It's amazing how much places can change over the years. Romford has certainly evolved, and it's fascinating to see how it has transformed. Glad you enjoyed the video and got to reminisce a bit!
Yeah, it’s always a bummer when a great bus route gets withdrawn. It’s like losing a reliable friend who was always there to get you from A to B. Let’s pour one out for all the good times and smooth rides we had! 😢🚌
Hey there! Ah, I totally get the nostalgia for old bus routes. The original bus service you're missing was likely replaced because of route restructuring. Now, instead of the old bus, the 21 and 263 buses cover the same area. This kind of change often happens when Transport for London (TfL) tries to streamline routes, improve frequency, or adjust to changing travel patterns. So, while it might be a bummer to lose a familiar number, the idea is to maintain or even improve overall service. Still, it's always a bit sad when your favorite routes disappear, but here's hoping the 21 and 263 are serving you well! Let me know if you need any more info or have other questions about London's bus routes!
Bruh, I feel you! The 55 is always getting diverted at Old Street Station! It’s like, every time you think you’re gonna have a smooth ride, boom-another detour. But hey, that’s London buses for ya, always keeping us on our toes. 😅 Let me know if you feel my pain or if you’ve got any detour hacks!
Sportspower 2:10? Sounds more like a new Olympic event where athletes compete to see who can dodge the most roadwork cones in heavy traffic! 🚧🏃♀️ Who needs a gym when navigating through all that feels like an extreme sport on its own? 😂
Hi there, @juaninjuan! Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm thrilled to hear that you and your family enjoy the videos, and it's wonderful to know that your 2-year-old son loves waving at the buses! Cheers to you all from London, and a big hello to Chile! 🚍👋😊 Best regards.
Haha, good catch! It does look like an invisible man is waiting at the bus stop at 1:36:51. Thanks for pointing that out and for watching the video! 😄🚏
Thank you so much, @peterthill! I'm glad you enjoyed the ride and found it varied and interesting. Your feedback means a lot, and I'm thrilled to hear this was the best one so far. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts! 🚍🚶🚠🚆😊
Thank you for watching the video and sharing your thoughts. London has indeed changed a lot over the years, becoming a diverse and multicultural city that welcomes people from all over the world. This diversity is a significant part of what makes London so vibrant and unique today. Greetings from London to Turkiye! 🌍😊
I wanna ask u why are you recording other people in london buses, you know its not good to video people in the bus the driver will not sometimes let you to record a bus route if you record of people in the bus im reporting to TFL but thank you if you understand ❤
Hi @LK34Kayden, Thank you for your comment. I understand your concerns about privacy. When recording on London buses, I try to be mindful and respectful of others. London buses are public spaces, and capturing video of the journey, including the bus route and scenery, is generally allowed. However, I make efforts to avoid focusing on individuals or infringing on anyone's privacy. If someone does not wish to be recorded, I respect their wishes. I appreciate your understanding and feedback. Best regards.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the variety and breadth of the ride. The views of the river and ferry at the beginning are indeed a lovely touch. Feel free to dip in and out as you like-there's always something new to discover! Enjoy! 🌟🚍🌊
I left that area in 1961. Havering Council have completely destroyed that area since then with street clutter- concrete traffic islands, bollards, road-markings, yellow marker-signs, railings alongside all the roads etc. Just a scrap-yard now.
It's understandable to feel nostalgic about how places change over the years. Urban development often brings in new infrastructure that can sometimes feel overwhelming compared to the simpler layouts of the past. While some may view these changes as clutter, they are often implemented to improve safety and manage the increasing traffic. However, it's always interesting to hear perspectives from different eras and see how places evolve.
You're welcome! It's great to hear that you enjoy the videos. Exploring different parts of London through bus rides is always an adventure. Thanks for watching! 🚍📹
Romford gets a lot of stick but it look pleasent on film. 8:48 these dark clouds look quite majestic up there. I have spent my life on buses but haven't done the 128 for many years. I've never ridden the 179 or 212. Its revealing these 'new' areas to me. Thanks.
Romford does indeed have its charms, and it's great to hear that the film captures its pleasant aspects! The dark clouds at 8:48 do add a majestic touch to the scene. Buses are such a fantastic way to explore new areas, and it's wonderful that you're discovering places like Ilford, Chingford, and Walthamstow through routes 179 and 212. Enjoy your future rides and the new experiences they bring! 🚍🌞
It used to go to Ilford in the guise of the 296 before they cut that route in half. Now the 496 stops in Romford and the 296 goes from Romford Station to Ilford Station.
Yes, that's correct. The 296 route was indeed split, and now it operates from Romford Station to Ilford Station, while the 496 takes care of the rest of the route. This change was made to improve efficiency and better serve the specific areas along these routes. Thank you for watching, appreciate it!
I'm glad you think so! The bus routes around Penge and Waterloo offer a variety of sights and experiences, making them quite interesting for regular commuters and bus enthusiasts alike. Do you have a favorite part of the ride?
I'm glad you found it interesting! The Royal Courts of Justice and The Old Vic are both iconic landmarks with rich histories. The Royal Courts of Justice, with its stunning Gothic architecture, is a true marvel, while The Old Vic is renowned for its contributions to the performing arts. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
