An incredible Giallo that truly deserves more recognition in the field by movie buffs. It was so well directed and wonderfully acted that it made me cry during the last 5 minutes. 9/10
I was crazy about those 1970's horror movies, but being born in 1965 I had an obstacle as most of those movies in Sweden stated you had to be at least 15. I had to be creative. Thankfully despite being a rather small town we had a small cinema specializing in obscure movies and they could be "persuaded".
Videodrome will always be a cult classic, excellent plot, brilliant cast, everyone just plays their part flawlessly and create this masterpiece together.
Genius of cinema underrated till some years ago by the traditional critics and left culture of old period . De Palma , Dario Argento , and others studied and copied him a lot !
John Carpenter has more morals and humanity than John Landis. And this interview was done just weeks after the twilight zone movie tragedy. Yet there Landis is being smug, narcissistic and ugly.
Can't beat going to something like that, so iconic. That would be high on my list if I was anywhere near Monroeville. Loved this recording - though reading the other comments, sounds like it has had a radical refit
