What about the gun heating up and scorching the user after a few mag dumps? Are they going to install some kind of thermal / heat shield or expect the user to wear silicon gloves to prevent being burned holding / using the gun?

Thanks for this! The first part of your process was missing in my stage walk strategy. Just looking at all the target options from each position before make decisions on what to shoot from there. Makes sense! 🙌

Regarding the 4 steel and paper. Thoughts/ options… 1: Enter on steel, back out on paper 2: Enter on paper, settle in and exit on steel. Q1: what do you think is the hf difference entering vs leaving on paper? I think for most of us entering on paper is slightly faster and more accurate. Q2: would leaving on steel and risking leaving steel up or missing the last steel a few time as your brain is already thinking about the exit before the final shot in steel factor into the decision? Thought: Entering in steel forces me to take that careful shot and gives me instant audible feedback telling me if that shot was a hit or miss, allowing for a fast makeup shot if needed. As I exist on paper I more confident in my shots since I just drilled 4 long distance steel, the paper is close and easy on the way out.

Im to the point i dont need to paste have been for a while but i am still iffy about it im really good at shot calling but sometimes u get that weird sight picture or its maybe or just visually impatient. Ive started practicing hard stuff tight no shoots tight hard cover. This way a lot of mikes show up. Either that or throw cardboard around the target just to be sure or some paper. I know personally i can get really visually impatient

Heck yeah!!! Nailed it! The internet is generally the men’s bathroom wall of information. What would compel anyone to take advice from someone who doesn’t have the results you want? It’s my belief that a true mentor/coach is current and active in the thing you are doing. Side bar for my Ted talk…. Anything learned in University is already 2-5 years behind what is currently going on. One graduates, behind. A doctor graduates to practice. The good doctors graduate, then TRAIN their field, always learning and growing. In the end, one usually gets what they pay for. True value comes at a price.

Dude, this is exactly what i needed to hear today. I shot a local match today with the goal of being more aggressive. I've been focusing on movement wnd vision the last few months, but not enough urgency. I shot the fastest I've ever shot - but threw some bad shots. I didn't get discouraged during the match because I was able to call almost every bad shot, and I knew this was a likely sacrifice when I first start hitting the gas. I ended up placing the best I ever have, which doesn't feel super important except to show I'm moving in the right direction. A few hours removed from the match it started to occur to me that so many of the bad shots are because I was also (inadvertently) trying to go faster on the gun. Hearing this from you just helped validate what I was thinking and gives me the thing to focus on in my next practice. Thank you for this!

Cool ! Totally where I’m at right now - pushing the speed - making shooting errors . Today I just went back to basics in training and burned down a bunch of rounds in static positions just being accurate- big match coming up this week and I’ll still push the speed but feel dialled in after just focusing on shooting for a session .

What’s funny is I tell myself to shoot my match at the bigger matches. Im here to shoot my game not someone else’s. Im not good enough to worry about other shooters yet. Edit. I do have shooters above me that I set as goals to beat though. Smaller goals lead to bigger goals.

Great breakdown on this stage. I ran a similar plan. But I recall handful of people trying to argue leaning out where you went to the corner (I did too)… I was off balance and trying to setup would’ve been a disaster for me… thankfully I found that out in the walk through. This is actually super encouraging to see that even shooters at your level still need to think about maintaining grip over the course of a stage. I've been kicking myself because I know I'm still not super consistent, even though I'm improving everywhere else. Appreciate the candor!

it's cool, but it's not 7k USD cool... I get it, the bore axis is incredibly low and after having shoot one its very good, probably the best stock pistol I have ever shot. But when I was let in on the price... A Tanfoglio gold match or is 90% of this at 1.4k. Thats honestly the problem at the higher specs pistols the gains are so small. I'm not detracting from its prestige it has most definitely earned it, but it's not worth 7k. I'd say it shoots like something that should cost around 2k mark...
