That little window near the ground need some Linseed Oil, then a few layers of paint. You still have room to crawl in there and do the shit. Before the plants get too big. :) Dig out the dessert king and move it. yea some work but..... doing it right just feels good. Not pushing, Im the lazy one....
Hey Scotty, you don't have to cover your 2 gallon air layer container. It will produce roots just water it like a container fig tree. First crop is call Breba and not breva
The local nursery assured me it was! 😩 but I think you’re right… But I don’t think it’s a ATREANO. They have a different shaped to them, which is very noticeable from each other, But I’m going to look into it and find what kind of fig tree this is thanks for pointing this out. I hate to say something is something and it’s not Hope you’re enjoying your growing season so far.
Glad you said that about the Violet. I've got one of those in the ground. Very nice big bush but never produces very well. Had to cut it and another back off of my deck a little about a week ago and dropped a couple of cuttings in some half gallon jars of water. They're popping roots now. Not so sure I'll do anything with the Violet though. Seems like wasted space I could use for something else like a nice persimmon maybe?
Trees are beautiful, especially in NY, very impressive.. I'm in Georgia, i have a question? Which varieties are your earliest main crop producers? and the ones with double bumps, will all the figs ripen? and do you, or how do you protect them in winter? I see the mulch so the roots look protected. Do you protect the growth to avoid die back?
Hello Scotty Rock, I hear that latarulla fig tree is a work-horse and produces Excellent brebas! Do not pop them off they are one of the highlights/characteristic of the great latarulla fig tree. Best Wishes
