I love how you talk with such frankness about living with bipolar, how your relationship with color changes over the course of the month, and how you're trying to fit your planner to your life and interests (mint, anyone? 💚). Oh, and happy birthday, Leo baby! ✨
I absolutely love Andy Weir and Becky Chambers. I’ve only got two BC books left before I’ve finished her bibliography (is this the right word? I’m not sure), so I’m starting to slow right down. 😅 Something tells me you’d like the audio for NK Jemisin’s Emergency Skin. It’s narrated by Jason Isaacs and it’s very thought provoking. Also I really like Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao. It’s like science fantasy with mecha and a large helping of female rage.
As a Norwegian I wildly approve of this! Gorgeous, as usual! The sea dragon reminds me of Selma, the local water serpent of Seljord. I hope you are doing OK, I am so glad you are so honest about your mental health and that you do stuff that bring you some kind of joy ❤
I hope the work you are doing with your therapy and meds has you feeling better soon. I lost my brother to cancer 10 years ago in August so I can’t appreciate how losing your dad affected your mental health. I hope you find joy in your activities! I go to Novel Nibbles at my local library where we just talk about the books we are reading, and I’ve made friends there. ❤
I have bipolar as well. I’m glad you’re here and taking care of yourself. ❤ one of the things I’m working on is making my time away from work more enjoyable.
Lovely setup! And I admire you for being a fighter for such a long time! Keep fighting and finding little things in life that bring you joy and remind you that life is good despite of all the bad ❤
Catching up on RU-vid bc I was offline for most of May and June (recovering from school burn out, yuck) but I just realized that the core values workbook is free with my patreon membership. Hooray! I'm behind on a lot of personal reflection stuff so I'll have to save the midyear ritual for next year haha
Congratulations on your first weeks of success. This is just what I needed to motivate me as I too take meds that hinder weight loss, not to mention some major heavy genes. I am terrible at meal planning but I can see its merits. Loving the extra videos, can’t wait for wait is next.
It's just something I do! Even in bookstores, I read the first line of a book before I read the synopsis on the dust jacket or that sort of thing. Because I've always been mildly obsessed with first lines, I decided to start collecting them.
It might not be for you but Illusion of Stars by Sarah Marie Page was a great closed door romantasy IMO it was better than 4th Wing and i adored that book so much
I just followed! I also have bipolar and use planning to help with symptom tracking and goal setting! I hope you’re able to get back to baseline soon and quickly!
Hi Beth, I love that you are constantly reinventing your planner to suit your current needs. I really want to know how adding the review to your weekly works out for you. BTW Cosmic Cavern is great! I have been twice, a must see!
The fact that the library was at capacity at 10:00 is beyond delightful. That makes me so happy. Also, your enthusiasm for Ivanhoe is so palpable that I feel compelled to suggest it to you as s theme for next year's journal.
how did you get the sizing for your intentions pages correct? I'm thinking of doing something similar but am struggling with the size. did you make them in Word, Canva, etc? Thanks!💕
Canva!! Set the unit of measure to centimeters. A standard 8.5" x 11" will then be set to 27.94 cm x 21.59 cm. That will give it the landscape orientation. Each square on the goals layout is approx. 3 cm x 3 cm, so you can set your text box to that size. I have two goals per square, so mine are 3 cm wide x 1.5 cm high. I hope that helps!
I did read the White Snake. I agree, it's a typical fairy tale with everyone wanting to be royal. If I could talk to animals, I would want to work in a rehabilitation facility so I could be an animal psychologist. My dog struggles with separation anxiety and noises outside. It takes him so long to settle and I wish I could help him and others deal with their environments in a less stressful way.
Super cool! Tho technically the first role-playing game was Tunnels and Trolls, a game modeled off D&D, after the T&T creator played D&D but decided to make something akin but easier to play solo or by mail (snail mail was the only option back in the 70's) so he made T&T and it states role-playing on the box whereas D&D was originally a table-top wargame that evolved...which is why many still use actual maps and minis ala wargaming. I only recently learned this as I discovered T&T cus I play solos a lot, but oddly hadn't heard of T&T till lately. I just thought it was a cool bit of history to know. The best part of T&T is all the older stuff works with the new stuff with very very few changes. It didn't have the crazy growth path of D&D, but then it was never taken over by WotC either.
