also can i just point out how crazy it was when maya immediately always knows something is up with riley but it took riles a whole season and a half to realize maya was “turning into her”.
It is the strangest thing in the world that people think Maya and Lucus should be a couple 😂😂😂😂😂! Nothing in this show says they are compatible. The writing for season 2 is by far the worst!! But top 3 reasons it doesn't make sense! 1. Maya never cared what anyone else said about Riley what Riley said and how Riley felt trumped reality up until this random storyline with Maya like Lucas. 2. Maya only seems to like Lucas when he is being the version of himself he does not like AKA Texas Lucas!! 3. And I can not stress this enough everything they claim is wrong with Riley and Lucas as a couple can be applied to Maya and Lucas. Maya and Lucas's back and forth can easily be considered playful sibling like behavior, Lucas and Maya are actually more alike than Lucas and Riley because they are both popular, hot heads, with a serious desire to protect the people they view as weak Farkle, Zey, and Riley. Lastly everyone talks about the awkwardness of Riley and Lucas but completely ignored that Maya and Lucas were just as awkward if not more. And the awkwardness between Lucas and Riley came from peer pressure while the awkwardness between Lucas and Maya came from them worrying about Riley. Maya is literally more compatible with every other guy on the show. Zey, Farkle, and Josh.
I feel like, even though Riley and Lucas end up together by the end of the show, they’d probably just date for a while and then break up, because the thing is, they’re just so similar that i don’t see it working out between them. Basically, in my own personal version of the universe, Riley and Lucas break up, and maya and Lucas end up together because i just can’t live without Lucaya being a thing
