Like many I love the 70's and 80's for movies and TV series. There has been a resurgence in these eras for both TV and movies with re-brands of popular franchises such as Star Wars, and cult classics like Childs Play (horror series). With new shows such as "Star Wars" Mandalorian and the soon to be released "Book of Boba Fett", and "Chucky" I'm updating my channel to bring a new (possibly older) perspective to the shows/movies that continue to entertain us long after inception. Aside from these classics I'm bringing insight into shows like "Cobra Kai" - the continuation of 80's classic franchise Karate Kid and down the track, classic shows such as Dallas and Prisoner, along with both of it's more recent sequels/re-imagined series. Enjoy the ride
I’m adding more sports content to expand on my love for stadiums & sports ground construction. Hope you enjoy these videos too.
Very interesting video - and tragic that so many died way too young. That shocked me. JR was just as big of a presence in Dallas 2012 as he was in the original. Just as mean, evil and I still loved to hate him. What an amazing man and character. JR WAS Dallas. BTW, I'm probably the only person in the world who thought Donna Reed made a better Miss Ellie than Barbara BelGeddes. She had class and a much better wardrobe. She dressed the part while Barbara dressed frumpy. I know she had health problems but I think they could have done a little better with her wardrobe. She was such a great actress. . . . . Just one cat's opinion . . . . . .
@@yooperlooper can’t argue that JR was Dallas. I’m a big Barbara Bel Geddes fan and loved her portrayal as Miss Ellie. As for Donna Reed, I don’t have any ill feelings towards her and believe she did a good job filling in as Miss Ellie. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the best Serial show of all time! I’m hopefully getting a new PC soon so I can finally do an updated version of this video- a few others have passed on since I made this video. Take care
Yes that’s right Jeff. I did this video before he passed and plan to do an updated version but unfortunately my PC became old and no longer functions. Once I am able to replace it I plan to make the updated video. Thanks for watching and commenting
I just loved watching Dallas and my characters in the show was Jock Ewing, Mrs.ellie , Bobby, JR, Sue Ellen, Lucy,Ray, Cliff these were my favorite characters in the show. They don't make shows like this anymore.
♥️🖤♥️🖤thanks for watching mezy. I’ll hopefully be able to do more of these - perhaps when they’re closer to Gold Coast, or possibly if I move back to Sydney ♥️🖤♥️🖤♥️🖤
Thanks for commenting. He & some others are to be included in a part 2 video. Unfortunately that and quite a number of other video projects are on indefinite hold at present on the count of my PC being no longer useable! Hope to get this released sometime mid year
Hi Maxwell. I’d be very happy for you to tell me what ‘facts’ I got wrong? Also I am not making any money from this video. It’s a labour of love. Sorry you didn’t enjoy it.
Hey guys. Just wanted to give an update on the status of the follow up video for this. As most will know the cost of living crisis is everywhere & I’m in need of a new PC. I’m hopeful of getting the new video out soon (on this current PC) so I thank you for your patience & for subscribing to my channel. Happy new year everyone. Should be out within the next few weeks.
UPDATE TO THIS POST: Unfortunately my (11 year old) PC has finally succumbed to its terminal illness and has been deemed unusable. In this current economic climate it probably won’t be until mid year before I can get a new PC. The types of videos I do cannot be done on my phone so I apologise for making this initial post and hope you all stay with me. Until then take care everyone & hope to be back bigger and better as soon as possible!
So many died so young. Crazy to think that Meg Gallagher and Jeanna Michaels who played Louella and Connie, the Ewing secretaries at the same time and left the show at the same time both died so young. 😔😔. But on the other end of the spectrum, Priscilla Pointer who played Rebeca Wentworth is the oldest living cast member. She’s 99. She’ll be 100 in May 2024. 😊😊
Thank you & I wish you a very nice day too. I am at early stages of an updated Memorial video to include some I missed in this video and also those who have passed away since.
There was a club called cheers on 231 deer Park Long Island I played with a band called Exciter One night in front of Eric Carr ! He was there with his girlfriend had pulled up if I remember correctly with a really cool Porsche ! No one at the club had a car like that we were outside during break and said who the hell is that and one of my friends said oh my God it's Eric car who had been now playing with kiss for a little while! It was one time I played guitar that I'll never forget ! He was such a cool guy to come into a little club and acknowledge his fans rest in peace !
Eric Carr was an amazing talent it’s a damn shame KISS didn’t give him some kind of a tribute during this final tour. They could have shown a damn video montage of all the past KISS members. To the real fans though we all remember Eric Car The Fox 🦊.
Yes we will always remember Eric 🤘🤘 that last show was bullshit IMO. Gene and Paul coulda done something even though none of the other's were there. But especially Eric, he was such a great drummer and person. And Bruce too
I met Eric Carr in 1984 during the 'Animalize' Tour in Birmingham, AL. That dude was so COOL and appreciative of the fans. He spent time before and after the concert talking and signing autographs. RIP Eric.
Yeah I've heard that from so many people, that he was so warm, friendly & always approachable. Although I never got to meet him I felt close to him after I wrote a heartfelt message via an Australian Fan club (Crazy Knights) to which he personally responded to in May 1991. Thanks for watching & your comment
Thanks I was making a big effort (research) to make sure I could include lesser known characters/actors. I’m working on the follow up video right now & realised I missed some that I will include in the next video. Research is ongoing so hopefully the new video is about 2-4 weeks away
Kelly I get what you’re saying however when I’m editing I have to weigh up that with the run time of the video. Most posters will err on the side of 3-6 seconds per clip. I do understand your point but that’s where the pause button comes into play.
Thanks for your comments Melissa. I know this is a big call from a show with so many memorable quotes but this sequence with Jock & Booby culminating in the “real power is something you take” is the best one of Dallas shows (or movies)
@@ozzyace71 You are welcome, and thank you for your oustanding post. The anger from Jim Davis (Jock), could definetly be felt. My favorite scene of all "Dallas" scenes, except maybe when Bobby asked Pam to "marry me, again". I cry every time I see that one.
