The man in the derby hat and long jacket is from a town near me in Louisiana. This guy is a local celebrity and treasure, I can tell you that even today in 2024 this guy is dancing somewhere every weekend and never misses a local parade or festival, we know him as "pops". Everyone knows and loves this guy.
I remember this dance from my early adulthood! The dapper man in the Orange suit is a legend in my home town. Affectionately known as "Pops", he is at every community event, every fair, every street dance, parade, it's been that way for as far back as anyone around here can remember. He is always dressed to the nines & is STILL an exceptional dancer. We love you Pops!!❤❤
Love this song! Big Ronnie Milsap fan. This one’s definitely on my playlist. Anytime we’re at a wedding, I tip the DJ to make sure this gets played and I do it for purely selfish reasons. I’ve been married to my gorgeous redheaded wife for 38 years now and I still like watching her move. And this song is guaranteed to get her on the dance floor. I’m tempted to learn it and get out there with her. But the desire to do so hasn’t exceeded my pleasure in watching her tight self as she enjoys moving to this. As I stated I make sure it gets played for selfish reasons. My ride or die still does it for me. Glad we got to see Ronnie and hear this live before he left us. Thanks for the legacy Mr. Milsap!
His voice is immediately recognizeable. His whole life story is incredible. He has so many great songs and I never tire of hearing them. I play this back to back 10 times in a row and been listening to Ronnie Milsap for a long time and its still as beautiful as the first time I heard it. Without question one of the best talents to ever grace a stage!
Being from the town beside his hometown, he's always been a big deal here. I have had the pleasure of growing up in the shadow of his amazing success. What a legend, is all I can say.
