Thank you so much! I really wasn’t expecting it to come out so cute. I actually added another bigger plushie in back and it looks even better lol plus I can finally get some table lamps for my nights stands 😂🤣
Great video! I agree with most of your take especially Colin/Marina situation. It’s a very unpopular opinion that Colin actually loved Marina but I also felt that he did. Not all love looks same. Their relationship felt real and earnest.
@@sleepylostpanda I agree. Not all love looks the same and we can and will have many different loves in our lives and that’s okay! It helps us grow and learn and become better people usually haha
Starting to think I need some of these curtain hooks to help *average sized and not short* me, open and close my curtains 🤔 They come as sets so I couldn’t possibly mess it up during ordering … could I? 😂 What do y’all think? amzn.to/4dBapff *commission earned if you shop through this link*
I agree 100%. My hot take is that pen and eloise are the same person, but where eloise uses her feminist stance to isolate herself, pen uses her insecurity to do so. Where Elosie thinks she empowers, she disempowers and where pen thinks she protects, she actually hurts.
@@lydia-roseaigbedion6025 this is an interesting take! I wasn’t planning an Eloise video but this is something good for me to think about! Thank you for your comment. It’s true bc Pen thinks she’s doing good but she isn’t. Eloise’s insecurities make her fluff up about being a feminist but then we see how she treats the women in her life. Very good points?
@@Karrokick agreed again. I think Eloise is definitely using feminism as a socially acceptable way to mask her insecurities and fear with womanhood and marriage. This is why I'm upset that we haven't circled back to that moment between her and Daphne when they were talking about their mother and hyacinth's birth. As for pen, i dont think season 3 changed my mind regarding my previous season, but I look forward to your thoughts on the new season.
Thanks for your reply! I never really thought anyone really read them😊! I think Marina has a crush on Colin, she sees him as a way out of her dilemma. I think it's a rebound relationship in which she is grasping for a hero. This feeds into Colin's hero complex. I Love this show! I think that Queen Charlotte was the best. I hope the standard remains high. I will give them one more season. If things don't improve we won't get to Gregory, which will be such a pity.
Colin does not love Marina. He is attracted to her. Marina engages his hero complex from his dad’s death trauma. He also thinks it gives him purpose. After her ruin, He feels guilt for how he and his family treated her. I think he was still young and confusing what is love. He liked her and I believe he would have supported her and her child but we are supposed to believe that Colin is driven by being able to make people happy. He was so worried he offended Marina by rejecting her kiss that he proposes.
@@RebeccaScritchfield thank you for your comment! Unfortunately, we don’t agree here. I don’t see his character that way, nor do I see his relationship with Marina that way. As we go through life we have more than one love, and different kinds of love. Whether the relationship ends or lasts doesn’t negate the love that was had. I believe he did love Marina, and the end of their relationship being so painful was the reason for him to focus inward on healing himself and traveling to find himself and find his purpose. We all heal differently after being hurt. He would’ve married her even if he had known she was pregnant, his words, and he still wanted to convince her one last time to give it a shot in season 2 even after she married someone else bc he still hadn’t found his footing after the breakup or finished healing.
@@Karrokick fair enough… good video content, he seemed very youthful and insecure to me and other videos helped me see his complexities. Perhaps a youthful love but even so I appreciate Marina telling him to grow up and wake up. Maybe she should have told him the truth after all. But then there would have never been S3. Agree on something big tho. Pen IS the anti-hero!!!
@@RebeccaScritchfield Yeah! I have a LOT of feelings of how the writers handled this bc I think it was messy and loose. But I want to make a video commentary on it so I might have to keep some of these thoughts to myself and hope you come back later 🫣😉
Very insightful. Only divergence of opinions is: 1. I don't think Marina is in love with Colin. She manipulates and schemes too much. I don't think she even likes Colin. As a stronger character I don't think she would have respected him enough and their marriage would have been miserable for both. 2. Eloise is not a very nice friend to Pen. Eloise does all the talking, and doesn't really listen to Pen, or she would know that. Unfortunately Season 3 doesn't provide more clarity for any of these questions. You proved very insightful with regard to Pen and her Mum, which I thought was well done in Season 3. Luckily I have read the books, so I still have my favourite book (the fourth - Romancing Mr Bridgerton) where Colin and Pen fall in love with a very different storyline (thank goodness), and grabbing bits from the book and trying to stuff it into the fake story is where Season 3 goes wrong.
@@gigijackson4811 Eloise does know by season 2! They have the scene in the garden which is my fave scene where they finally open up to each other about their fears and wants regarding relationships. Eloise admits she’s afraid of living in Daphne’s shadow and Pen admits that no one will ever notice her.
@@gigijackson4811 Thank you so much for your comment! I do think Marina loved Collin but it’s okay if we disagree. I’m not sure if I’ll do a video on her entirely but I might include more of them in another upcoming video. I hope you come back for those videos too! I definitely think the changes they made from book to tv show turn Pen into two different characters, which is why I wanted the disclaimer that tho I’ve done my research into the books I haven’t actually read them so people would know I’m not judging book Pen! Haha. I agree about Eloise not being a good friend either and I’m going to talk about that as well in my next video! I just didn’t want to go too on about Eloise since this was mostly supposed to be an analysis on Pen and how she treats and interacts with those in her life. But after the season 3 debacle, which spoiler alert worst season ever, I have soooo much more to say! Haha
@@Karrokick omg! Okay you’re getting me all excited. I have to ask for more 😂🙈 Please do one for Anthony as well. I’m very curious to see all his sides explored. Not that this is important but it may be worth mentioning whether or not Sienna breaking his heart impacted his decision to not love. That entire story line seemed to be totally ignored in season 2. Ohh please do one for Eloise and Queen Charlotte and Lady Danbury (more context from the Queen Charlotte spin off). Thanks a million! Also I’m already giddy anticipating all this!
@@queenloiskosher6119 thank you! I hope I don’t disappoint I was already so nervous releasing this lololol I hope to update a new video soon! I work full time but I am already working on the scripts 🥰
Omg everything you said is golden! Pen is such a complex character. I love the way you broke the character down. Her selfishness is quite under emphasized because she is generally liked: - writing that your friend is hanging out with political radicals saves her from being suspected as whistledown but puts her in a different far worse kind of trouble. - you can’t stand to lose the man you love to Marina but you make your friend lose the man she loves. - she said the queen would not believe her if she outed herself and I think that’s her trying to cop out. She was on the queen’s suspect list for who whistledown could be and if she proved to the queen she was whistledown, the queen would believe. In season 3 when someone pretends to be whistledown, she makes the queen see that she is whistledown because she doesn’t want someone else getting credit for her work. That shows me that what she did to Eloise was simply a choice to protect her alter ego at the expense of her loyal friend. In season 3 even though Colin tries to explain that she misunderstood what he said, she impulsively writes negative things about him. In season 1 when Daphne is struggling to find suitors, she basically claims that she’s not good enough and Daphne fears being ruined by that writing. She herself knows how fickle the reputation of a woman can be, you’d think she would be kinder. - she drives a working woman out of business so she could woo Delacroix. - she gets extremely self unaware and self righteous about how cruel she is. She forgets she can be many things at once, nice, warm, intelligent, witty, yet cunning, disloyal, cruel and selfish
@@queenloiskosher6119 oh my gosh! Yes! Someone who understands me! Haha, she’s definitely a complex character which makes her very compelling for analysis and discourse. I can’t believe I didn’t mention her driving the other tailor out of business! You’re so right. Thank you so much for your comment! I completely agree with all your points! And you’re right you can have moments of cruelty as a good person, but being a good person doesn’t excuse the bad things you’re doing! It’s smth you should learn from and Pen from what I will say in my upcoming season 3 video … well… let’s just say I am so disappointed!
@queenloiskosher6119 I believe that you, queen, are very wrong in your personal opinion of Penelope. You are misunderstanding Penelope, she does realize how cruel she can be and expresses remorse, regret and guilt on many occasions: 1) when Penelope revealed Marina's secret, there is a scene where Pen starts to cry along to Eloise. Why do you think he starts crying? It is obvious that she starts to cry because she is full of remorse for what she did to Marina. 2) After Penelope reveals that Eloise hung out with radical politicians, a scene is seen where Pen and Madame Delacroix are talking, and Pen proclaims herself full of anger towards herself: "I'm a bad friend." 3) In season 3, when she writes things about Colin, immediately after Colin offers to help her, she feels guilty for what she did. It's okay that you don't like the character, but it's very wrong that you make the silly mistake of being blind to the fact that Pen DOES feel guilty about certain things she did. And you don't have to believe me, check out those scenes from the show for yourself.
@@Nahuelindomable526 I appreciate your comment but I do not agree with you! And that’s okay! Feeling guilty about doing something wrong, doesn’t make it okay. She doesn’t apologize to anyone or make amends for what she does in season 1 or in season 2. I didn’t say I don’t like the character. Anti-hero’s are important. Shows need drama or we would be bored and not watch. Pen’s character is important and I value her. Her archetype is still definitely very much an anti hero 🥰 and there’s nothing wrong that! I’ve seen the series more than 4 times 😂 I feel pretty confident in my opinion and feelings; which again are just personal feelings and opinions. These aren’t real people. This is just media analysis! For fun! 🥰 sorry you didn’t enjoy the video ♥️ maybe you can enjoy the next one!
@@Nahuelindomable526 you make a good point. I do agree that she felt bad, but multiple things can be true. I don’t think she’s bad. She is a complex character which is why she’s the perfect anti hero. I just think it’s not a fair assessment to watch it and think she did all of it selflessly to “protect” them and all. Yes, she felt bad for ruining Marina but she was also self righteous about it and towards other people. She could have stood aside and let Colin be with Marina who liked him and he claimed he loved too. But she didn’t want to lose him. So as much as she felt bad, she did it so she wouldn’t lose Colin. Yes, she said she was a bad friend about what she did to Eloise but cannot acknowledge or identify what many could identify as a selfish and self preserving decision. She had other options that allowed her take responsibility for her actions but she didn’t want to. She chose not to at Eloise’s expense and that makes it selfish but she can’t see that it was selfish. She believes her hands were tied but we see her do what she should’ve done when Cressida was going to take credit for her work. If it really wasn’t an option to come clean to the queen then, why does she do it now when her own credit is at stake? I don’t think she’s bad but I have reason to see that she is selfish and doesn’t realize this. Feeling bad doesn’t negate selfishness or betrayal of relationships.
I love the way you summarized things! I have no idea what's going on cause I've never watched the show, but this was a fun watch. Absolutely adore the Bridgerton-inspired outfit :)

That's kind of the tragedy of pop music; Thought provoking lyrics buried under just the most generic music to keep it palatable. Not that I listen to Taylor Swift or anything.
Great video so funny watching you trying too Answer the questions and looking up everyone time is say it from Taylor swift 🤣🤣🤣🤣 it was great can't wait to see more and p.s. Theo need all the Belly rubs lol
Hi! Cute pup! 🤗 Meow Meow Tweet is my favorite natural deodorant brand; I’ve been using their Rose Geranium baking-soda-free stick for some time. How is the scent on their Cedar Spruce? I’m curious about it and would appreciate any feedback you have! Thanks! 💖
Carla Paola Theo says thanks! He did his best in this video. Hahaha. So, I actually LOVE cedar spruce. I had bought rose and cedar and ended up giving the rose to my friend. On its own I liked the smell but once I was wearing it? Not so much! You know how our own bodies affect how things we are wearing smell? She tried cedar spruce, didn’t like it. Gave it to me instead! So, cedar spruce has a soft cologne smells best way I know how to describe it. It’s very gentle and when I’m wearing it, I can’t tell! I think a good smelling product is one you can’t smell all the time while you’re wearing it. It’s the only one I buy now! And if you’re into eco stuff I’ll be posting a new video soon about ... tooth paste options! Keep in touch, let me know how it goes, trying cedar spruce!
37thBlitz Thank you, I appreciate this! I will give it a try and let you know what I think! 🤗 I totally get it about our own bodies affecting the scent of things we use btw, and also that no scent should be so strong it’s constantly hitting us in the nose all the time. The rose scent is fairly subtle on me, but like we said, our own bodies will affect how scents wear, and then too our preferences will affect how we perceive them. I don’t like overly herby scents, for example, which was my fear for the cedar. A soft woodsy cologne-like scent, though, sounds amazing to me! I’m definitely into eco things and look forward to your next video! 💚 Greetings to Theo! 🐶😍
