It's gonna die back the leaves that were used to land will die but it will make new smaller stringy growth after and should survive ...the one turning black was the moss thinking it was winter and going dormant been growing land moss in mine for about a year now as long as light is week and you can deal with the eyesore untill it acclimates it's worth it fs
Wow... All that driftwood for free. I bet theres people in ur area that are also into the hobby but still goes to any local pet stores and buy it. And we all know a piece of driftwood aint cheap. Thats why its great to know where to look for stuff like this bcs in the long run it will save u money.
I have been experimenting with land moss for a year now. The trick seems to be to turn the light down. Bright aquarium lights seem to kill off the land moss after about a month. I have dimmed down the lights and they have survived for a year now.
Sir... Did you acclimate you moss for at least a couple of months before?? Cause well it's all about acclimating the moss for quite a good time doing daily water changes without chlorine. Finally did you clean your moss well enough to get rid of any undesirable intruder snails are great during the acclimating process since they eat the sections of moss that perish avoiding the rest to get spoiled?.
I have both Endlers and Guppies together, all male in a 29 gallon tank. 3 guppies and 3 endlers. How many females would I have to get for that many? Ty! Awesome colorful fish you have..♥️
Awesome. The colors of the males look amazing in your planted tank. Do you have a local store that sells female endlers? All stores near me sell males only so I can only breed them with guppies.
All great looking endlers and guppies. Love the variety. I never knew what an Endler was either before I got back into the fish keeping hobby last summer. They are one of my favorites now. I've crossed some with guppies and some of the offspring are super colorful.
Great tank! I am also looking into setting up a 33g tank with male guppies and/or endlers, but I have heard that sometimes the endlers harass and chase around the guppies who struggle to escape because of their big tails and slower swimming speed. Have you noticed anything like this or do they seem to get along okay?
most of those suckers were still very anchored! trust me I tried. and most were so big they'd never fit an aquarium, but I tried, lol. I was feeling the same way when I saw it all.
I don't think you need much light, moss usually grows in shady areas. Unfortunately it all died off after a few weeks, as the video explains. I'm not sure what the problem was, maybe lack of co2 compared to what land moss is used to, or maybe land moss just can't handle being submerged forever.
yeah, it was worth a shot. I just got some flame moss i'm going to try as well as some java moss, but the java won't be going in this tank, too messy from what i've seen. Thanks for watching!
Lovely little tank! Hang in there - seems that all plants need some time to adjust from land to water and vice versa - it was exactly what you said, an experiment. Love the update! You got this!
Oh WoW - a Shore Shopper's paradise - this could be the motherlode! LoL! Was this a deliberate draining of the lake? WOW! Fantastic Haul!!!! Yes - you can never have too much hardscaping materials! :) This is going to be beautiful!
