Welcome to our boardgame channel! We do Live Playthrus with Reviews, Top 10s and some small talk :) We love playing boardgames but we love more dissecting and talking about how they are made and what they manage to create!
I don't remember right now, its been awhile since we played it. :) But thank you for watching and commenting :) If you like what you see, please consider a subscribe
my mans in the orange had the win low key, he just lost focus when he didn’t get what he wanted one time in the early game. after that he gave up and was just wandering in the woods. it’s an adaptation game for sure
:)It is indeed, yet, unlike Brass, I don't know, there are so many things I feel I cannot control. Also, please take into consideration that orange, that is me, :D, has to play the game, watch the stream, change cameras when needed, and try to keep the atmosphere alive. And sometimes I might be tired. ANd it is easier to lose a bit of focus. In the end, though, whtat I did not enjoy was the fact that the game makes me chase points, and I don't really enjoy chasing points, I enjoy playing a game that rewards me with points for the logical things that I do in the game. Hope it makes sense. And, like I said, it is most likely a me problem. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. :)
Just wondering, when are you guys going to have a playtrouge of leonardo codex leicester 😅 would love to see game play of that game 😊. And looking forward to hear what you think about that game.
When you said the cover reminded you of a movie I immediately thought of Hugo... Thanks for the review (I only watched the review part). I love this game. :o) "mechanically delicious" "the more you play it, the more the choices become heavier... you will feel it" Personally, it was the theme that first attracted me.
Thank you for your kind words. In the end, what differentiate between Vital's games is theme, what theme attracts you the most, most likely you will enjoy the game, because what is underneath usually, or until now, compliments the theme.
That is a good question. She likes medium weight games. She started playing games around four years ago, and she played some. She doesn't really have a Top 10, she says. But she liked a lot Rococo, Gold West, Quacks of Quedlinburg, Gold West, Septima, Coloma, Glenn More 2 :)
Yeah i like your videos. But at nr 6 you say tiletum is not on your list, but then it pops up as nr 3. Thinking about getting tiletum. I think it looks fun. But it seems like youtubers hype it (sponsor). Not easy to find honest reviews on youtube. Anyway, like your channel. You guys seem honest and are funny :)
Most probably I was poker facing it :D I really like TIletum, but I like it at two, as I say in the review part of the two playthrus I made for the game. That should tell you that I like the game. :) We don't get sponsored, we just get a review copy. Watch the review we made for Barcelona or Kutna Hora. When i don't like a game I say why I am not enjoying it. I really don't think we get bad games these day, but also we don't get too many that are special either. And I don't like point salads :D Thank you for watching, commenting, and for your nice words :)
@@BooghyPlays yeah i have seen the playtruges, your girlfreind seems very good at it, she thinks fast. Btw i really like the look of the board. Anyway, thanx for the reply. Would love to se radu play tiletum, hes so funny :)
Felicitari pentru interviu, cred ca e primul interviu ce l-am vizionat vreodata cap coada si acum ca ai zis de Simone Luciani, ma duc sa-l caut repede :)
Thank you for watching and for commenting. I hope this helps your decision to buy or not buy this game :) Judging by your name I think you already bought it :D
I enjoyed the post-game discussion. But I would have enjoyed it more if Booghy did not CONSTANTLY cut into the others speaking. And I'm sorry Booghy, I think the game is not for you. For example, in Brass you also cannot plan ahead like you want to. You have to adapt to the situation. And Kutna Hora is quite the same in that regard.
Thank you for watching and for commenting. Yeah, I was a bit heated, if you see other discussions I don't do that. I was also a bit tired. I love Brass, it is my no 2 of all time. You are right, in Brass you have to adapt, but you can stick to your strategy because Brass gives you a way to manipulate turn order. And if you watched that was my main gripe about it :) Also, I have to say, I need to play it 4 players :) Also, hope people understood that there were a lot of things I liked about this game. And my main issue is I like the game and I so wanted to love it because what the game aesthetically gives me. Thank you again for watching and commenting, and hope we can snatch a subscribe from you :)
@@BooghyPlays I totally understand you. I feel exactly the same about Kutna Hora. I still want to play it because it plays much faster than heavier games. We can do a two player game of Kutna Hora in 90 minutes but Brass takes us 2+ hours because Brass is much more limiting if somebody steals something from you and you have to rethink your whole turn (=> AP). Kutna Hora fills a great niche for me. That said, after playing KH a couple of times now, I'm looking forward to playing a Lacerda again ;) Thanks for your reply!
@@suist4r The 2p game of Kutna Hora is different than 3 or 4. I feel it is a different game because the influence on the market is not as huge as in 3 or 4, and I won't say no to a 2p game. I will play it 4 and come back with some new thoughts. :) Aaand, I will play Weather Machine soon on the channel. I also hope you enjoyed the stream and hopefully we make the game look good on the table.
Good Game! Nice job, folks. One question: on 1:27:15 you build a dam with the special tile that allows you to do it with no engineers, but...didn't you have to pay at least the required machineries? Thanks a lot - this was so useful to understand how the Nile Affair expansion flows.
Grazie! For watching and commenting. I don't remember exactly but it seems that I had a special technology that allowed me to build without some materials. If you like please like share and subscribe, is free :D And it helps us a lot!
We might not have done this :) I don't remember now. Hope you enjoyed the stream though and sorry for the small mishaps that might occur. Hope the spirit of the game came out and see how thw 2p game plays out.
Yeah, that is true. I did nott have any commited workers, as far as I can remember. The workers are laid down for the stream. Commited workers in the stream were laid down on diagonal :) Thank you for watching and commenting :)
Great video. I really like this technique of teaching games, where you actually teach it to someone. This allows someone else to ask questions, and you naturally speak slower so it is easier to follow.
Thank you very much for your kind words. They do a lot for a small channel like mine. Hope you enjoyed the video, and your stay on the channel. Also hope you find other videos which you might enjoy. :)
Nicely played but there are some differences or mistaken rules as: 3:40 - the structural fortification in the middle ditch hexagon should be on hex Curtain Wall (it is 1 hex up on the wrong position). The ditch hexes should be without any fortification at the begging of the game and just with Habsburg markers. 37:50 - misunderstood rules the improvised fortification were wrongly placed and they should be places just onto ditch hexes (as you can see on the strategic card, too). On the card you have just 3 ditch hexes between two city walls. In real in 1683 they should be full of water but from some reason defenders were not leaked the water to it. Rule 55:30 - ottomans can defend with maximum 4 cards, no 5 cards or 6 cards every time when they have aa traceable line back to their camp.
Just wanted to say that Antiquity is genius! That and my husband got me Roads and Boats for birthday and I think that was probably my favorite birthday in the last ten years! 😁 Bus has a genius design and Food Chain is a knife fight that I always enjoy! 💜
Thank you for watching and for commenting! It's good to see so much love for these games. And for their creators. Hope you enjoyed the interview also :)
Yes. That is right. I've realized that after the game. We have played another playthru, in order to 'fix' all the mistakes we did. In the second playthru there are no rules errors. :D
At 2:00:00 there is a discussion on BGG about selling luxury goods to the state when the state is not playing. The rules say they go away, but the designer has explained that was a decision made so that you didn't have to get out the state player board for 1 or 2 cards that might never come out. But you can rule that they can be bought later by the WC for the default price on the state board.
Thank you for watching and commenting. Yeap, I think that way is the best, because it makes the game more streamlined. I really think they managed to balance the game well even for two players, the way they did it. Hope you enjoyed the playthru and the game, if you have it! It's quite something!
You sure I did not have something, maybe some tech, that allowed me to do that? I usually don't try to cheat that bluntly :D Thank you for watching and commenting :)
@@BooghyPlays Easy, Barrage is a tough game, and you must do streaming, talk to the audience... this makes your job even harder, I appreciate it, keep going! 👍
Thank you for watching and for commenting! I will have to look into it. I think I have always playedit this way. I have always seen it as a way to have a bit more control to what is in your deck. Just trashing a card from your deck blindly I find it a bit too random for my tastes :)
@@BooghyPlays I agree, it is a risk, but at least you can always trash from your hand. For what it's worth, you gain the card's cost in silver when you trash them, too.
@@Busy_Mason I still like it more though that it gives me control over my deck. :) I'm a eurogamer who likes control. I'm a control freak :D Thank you again for watching and spotting the issues.
Thank you for the video! You made me very happy with your kind words about Chronicle 11 "Plan and Prosper". Turning the more tactical (driven by short-term decisions) base game into a long-term strategy game was exactly what I wanted to achieve when I developed that Chronicle. Hearing how much you appreciate that, and the fact that you would always want to include Chronicle 11 when playing, is just fantastic! 💚
Thank you for watching and for your words! There are some more interviews to watch :) If you enjoy please, consider subscribing, helps us with publishers. Hope to get Jeroen also :)
Just 104 views at the Moment - thats ridiculous. As long as it's not another boring top list of some kind of game, hardly anyone is watching… Thank you for the Interview!
Thank you for watching and for your words! Hope you can find other interviews which you enjoy! Also, if you enjoy our content would help a subscribe! Easier to talk to publishers this way.:)
Glad to see you enjoyed it.This was my most anticipated game of last year and I must say, this kind of games will stay on my shelf forever! Somehow,I think the 4 player count is the sweet spot, just like in Tales of Northlands,or at least it's what I prefer.Great work from Nick,Harald,Uli and the team!
Thanks for the video. I’m very curious about this one. I wonder if the ramped end game race can frustrate players, or if it’s okay? And the aesthetic is perfectly fine with me. I have a beloved beige collection of older euros that I adore. thanks again!
Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment. I don't find the end game frustrating. You'll play it a few times and you wil sort of see about when the end game will be triggered.
Salut! In baza, fara extensii, daca au mai jucat cate ceva, cred ca se pot juca jocul asta. Altfel, pana la jocul asta recomand sa te joci ceva mai usurel pentru inceput, precum Carcassone :)
@@stelianfleara5499 In cazul asta, cred ca poti sa il iei linistit. Daca mai vrei detalii despre jocuri, te invit aici discord.gg/szXNyxFx, unde mi-e mai usor sa raspund mai repede :), si primesti raspunsuri si de la alti jucatori
Your videos are very good specifically because they are thoughtful and not cranked out just to have more videos. One article mentioned that podcasts, and I assume videos, need a Unique Selling Proposition (USP). Maybe part of pitching the channel is deciding what is special and different about yours from the others. Have you considered covering Eastern European games and news? Or are heavy Euros more universal and not from a region? Maybe all All Feld (All Splotter? All Lacerda?) channel would be a hit?
First, I want to thank you for taking the time to write this. It means a lot, and it keeps me going. I will do Felds, I will do all heavy euros, Anachrony, soon Kanban EV, I will try to do more things. I love good eurogames, from easier to heavier, and I try to establish my self as a serious reviewer who takes time and puts in the effort to create something meaningful. I just think it needs time for people like you to discover me, in the meantime I just try to put out better and better content. Thank you again :)
Salut.
