He doesn't have to touch the fielder for it to be interference. And the fielder has the right of way when making a play on a batted ball and it's the runners responsibility to stay out of the way. However that was a very ticky tack call since it in no way affected the play. Also I'm not so sure it should have been a double play anyway. Once interference is made the ball is dead and the interfering runner is out. So the infield fly should have been mute. Also once the runner was out for interference the infield fly rule no longer applied. Interesting scenario though and as I said I'm not 100% on correct call in that situation. IMO though it shouldn't have even been called given the situation.
