Hi there I know this says it’s been two years ago that was posted but I am currently in the process of trying to get a Wayfare van so if you have any suggestions or comments I would greatly appreciate and thank you
This is great! I saw your van tour on NJ outdoors. I’m hoping to get a wayfarer van in a year or so and it’s fun to follow you on your adventures. Thanks for sharing!
Sounds like you got it all together so far, and so good, just keep a plugging away and enjoy life to the fullest as best as you can, and stay healthy and safe, look to see your next video
Correct I got the complete rig through @wayfarervans because they have a partnership with local dealer. Can’t beat that price from their dealer on a new rig. Solid!
Please stay safe. I can imagine being in that position every day has to be a such a stressful situation. Some people (your sons dad) are just heartless. Please get out of Oregon. A pretty view isn’t worth your daily stress. Blessings.
Update: I’m having a much better day today. I drove south to Newport. Lots of stuff here, food, water, resources, good places to park on the beach and nice and welcoming people! Plus the harbor seals behind the cannery are so sweet. My son’s dad is heartless narcissist. It has been a 20 year battle that I’ve had to navigate. Grateful for the good views, the time to write and create. Until I have a “plan” I’m going to chill here and enjoy beach time with the doggo 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 ;)
Glad to see you are doing well. Beautiful marina area. It looks like winter there still, but I understand that rain and OR go together. The sun has been out x2 days, predicted to be out x2 more here. Sunshine helps me feel better, probably the same for many people. Reports are this will be the norm for at least another month. You and Scoob be safe.
@ Like Water for Brisket, I would definitely subscribe and watch from beginning to end to see scoob play, run and have fun, so it would be a joy to watch. Go scoob!
The narcissistic abuse,, lies and vindictive BS is real. Thanks for commiserating. He’s a monster for trying to keep us apart. Love and light always wins. I’ll see my son! Sending you hugs Mina.
Like water for Brisket, I think this is such an exciting kind of life. I've been doing a little research on getting a van and watching many different van life shows, and you're right, sometimes we do lose the sense of our creativity especially when we become complacent in the everyday nine-to-five routine. So that was very refreshing to know that van life actually made it easier for you to be creative again. I like your videos, Keep up the great work.
Dee Red thanks! I started writing more in this crazy time. You can read my latest blog at www.likewaterforbrisket.com Can’t wait to learn more about your journey. What van are you looking at?
Glad to see you are doing ok. I guess that is BLM land where you are staying? It looks like it is a good area for your animals to get out and move around plus you are parked a good distance from the other van(social distancing). Creative RV talked about the available land, parks, etc. for nomads today on her vlog that had not been closed, plus a website to follow r/t this, see is in the west also. Hope you continue to feel better. Be Safe.
Thank you! I found a website that is updated regularly on what sites are closed and open. Rest stops and gas stations will stay open for truckers. I have gotten a few invites to stay with different friends. I am NOT leaving the country for now. The Baja plan is squashed and I want to avoid California.
I love the simplicity of the van build. I like the openness and feeling of space; it's not crowded at all. Love it! (I also enjoyed your presentation--it was filled with usable, important details about the build, the comfort, features, etc. You're direct and to the point with everything--you really packed a lot of information into a mere 7 minutes and 56 seconds!) Hope you love every moment in your new van!
