Hi all, I am Simi, I call myself a nature lover, and am on a journey to see it all. From raw mountains to beaches, treks to dives, forests to deserts, I want to explore it all in this lifetime. The purpose of this channel is to document my journey and take you all along. If you like my videos, please subscribe and join me on this journey.
I think now the process for applying in BMC a little changed ,can please help me out. And I am going to do the BMC in the month of March 2025 so is it okay to do my medical certificate now ? Or what else I can do . Cause if I wait for jan maybe it's too late to apply.
Hello So, most of us had to get the medical certificate twice, one while applying and another one when going for the course, as they require the latest one. I’m not very sure if the process has changed. You could call the institute and find out, and please update it here as well so it would help others 😊. Thanks
Majority got A In a batch of around 84 around 75 got A, few got RTH( return to Home) like those who could not complete due to many reasons and the rest got B
To get A , one has to perform well in all the activities, and on the other hand, if one doesn’t perform well in one, doesn’t mean they will get B. Just do your best.
From what I know , they don’t take you on expedition, but height gain and also you stay at the advanced base camp for a few days. I can’t be sure of the maximum altitude as it depends on the weather conditions. But Meerathang glacier where our ice craft training is conducted, is around 5000m above sea level.
@@architaravi8 the same way you reached Dirang. You would have the numbers of the taxi drivers or the bus schedule. You can call and reserve your seat , and mostly you will reserve the entire taxi and make groups , so that shouldn’t be a problem. Good luck 😊
Online application karne ke baad within a few weeks me confirmation ajaegi . Medical form ready karke, payment karke online website par apply karna. Kafi easy process hai
@@Mahan009 hi I don’t remember the cut off, you could possibly check it on their website. But as far as I know, it’s for the points you get. If you finish within a certain time , you get 5/5 and then 4.5/5, 4/5 and so on. I am not sure what the exact time is. I would say just do your best, and it’s a mix and up and down hill.
Hi. Thanks fir the awesome series. Here they have provided trekking shoes but in the joining instructions for BMC 51 they said we ust carry our own trekking shoes high ankle - can you please shed light on this I am confused?
@@Mahan009 hi They give you snow boots, rock climbing shoes only when needed, or during training. But during the course , you have to bring and wear your own trekking shoes. Yes, bring a high ankle, good shoes. Also you could bring running shoes for PT during your training in Nimas campus. Hope it helps
Hi dear. Enjoying watching your video. I m going to nim for amc 178 sep Oct 2024. If possible, can we connect in person. I had some queries. Waiting for next part.
Hello, Im on Instagram with the same name. You could DM there. But currently I’m on a trek , so my reply could be late. Next parts will come this month end as I’m still travelling.
Hi Increase your stamina by running regularly or long distance cardio sessions, but in low intensity. Also, include regular strength training focussing on legs and upper body. Running and push ups are the two basic that you should do. Good luck with your training
@@jaiminkapadiya4064 I would say yes, assuming you have been into some kind of sport or fitness routine regularly, or atleast hiking or something in general. But don’t over train , if can lead to injuries.
hello wayfarersimi ...i along with a friend of mine saw ur videos about bmc from nimas nd did bmc 39 from there .... nd what a coincidence , yesterday morning we booked our amc from nim for next year ..nd saw ur video on amc from NIM in my utube feed today ...kudos to u nd good luck for coming things 😍🥰
Thank you so much ☺️ That’s awesome 🤩 Just an advice, prepare really well for the Advance Course . It is much harder than I expected it to be 😬. All the very best for your future endeavours as well 🙌
So, one night, the trainees will have to make their own temporary shelter, and cook their own food. Ofcourse you will be told what to do and provisions will be provided. But it’s so much fun 🤩
Ma'am I have a question- Can i share the taxi with other student while traveling from guwahati to Nimas.. And how to contact with them while going from guwahati to nimas together..
@@sheikharifeaziz21 ofcourse, go to Paltan Bazaar and book a seat in a 10 seater car for Dirang. I sometimes share the link of the upcoming batches in the description of this video. So you can connect with the others. If not, you can directly reach Paltan Bazaar and book a seat for the early morning shared taxi
Hi It’s a government website. Probably some issue with it. I think they updated the website. Probably the link in the description does not work anymore. Try searching it on Google.
