The Southwest was ran on a track very similar conditions to todays race and Mystik Dan seemed to LOVE it. I'm in agreement with your assessment .. think the baffert horse gets it in the end.
I am curious to see what Danny does if he has a front-runner like Muth, say, in front of him. I was afraid of Sierra Leone coming from behind him, and\or Catching Freedom, in the Derby. But when he drew a spot near the rail, I thought he had a great chance of beating all those horses swinging around from outside. What if Muth is in front of him? I.m.o. Dan can catch him, but will he try? It is a better distance for him, but has he got any grizzly in him?

I'm expecting a fast track. Even if it rains, I expect that to favor Fierceness. If you're looking for a different play, though, Just a Touch has run well twice on sloppy tracks.

I’m glad that BB is still not allowed in the Kentucky Derby. He should be banned for life. His horse justify should’ve never been allowed to run after failing a drug test at the Arkansas derby but BB’s pals at the California hire racing commission hid it under a rug until after the triple crown. BB should be banned for life and thrown in prison.
