Genius. "Slow Motion" is still one of my all time favorites. And the solo work; intense memories of listening to "No One Driving" on hwy 120 in Yosemite middle of the night heading to the Tenaya Lake trailhead for a weekend exploring Cathedral Peak.❤
Already Pre-Ordered the Hardback. Totally Love Dev & I'm Looking Forward To Leafing Through These Photos & Making A New Home For It On My Bookshelf Next To His Autobiography! 😁
@@Rocket88 I know it's fully dependant on the individual artists motivation, but I think an autobiography from either Ihsahn (Emperor / Solo Artist), or Glen Benton (Deicide) would be very interesting reads. Not sure if they'd be personally interested in doing this, but I am sure if people are buying Shane Embury's book (which is what could be considered special interest) I'm sure these other 2 artists are worth contacting to see if anything can be worked out, as your books are really high quality and definitely hit their target audience.
The house that Napalm built! Thanks for sharing your thoughts and memories! I I met with you once in Columbus, Ohio! Two weeks before the Dime bag Darryl murders. Thank you and the band for singing my CDS! 🔥
I was shocked to recently hear of the demise of Mark Hollis . "It's my life" has been a staple of my ever changing decades-old playlist. I've always marveled at the quality of Hollis' live vocals and musicianship.
Oh wow so cool to hear this is available, i must purchase this soon. I have loved Mark Hollis and Talk Talk since i first got Today single in the Summer of 1982 and was blown away by the Synths and his Ethereal otherworldly voice, and listen to the first 3 albums, rediscovered him before and during Lockdown and the guy is truly an inspiring man and example of a humble gentle humourous down to earth man, quality over quantity and giving up fame for Family a rare breed indeed. Im captivated by his style, wished id seen them live bk in the day. I hope to meet him on the other side one day with many more people. I even wrote my own song inspired by Today in its style. Long live this great guys music which is more relevant today than bk in the great 80s heyday. God bless the happy chappy Hollis Greatly missed. ❤
I wonder if part of Ian's problem, is that he feels he doesn't get the credit he deserves for his great music. I just saw Apple came out with their top 100 albums of all time, and there was no Jethro Tull at the top. In fact they had albums that weren't even close to Aqualung and Thick as a Brick. Here's Apples top 10. Lauryn Hill, "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" (1998) never hear of it Michael Jackson, "Thriller" (1982) good album but no Aqualung The Beatles, "Abbey Road" (1969) beatles best album, but again, not as good as Jethro Tull's best Prince and the Revolution, "Purple Rain" (1984) only a couple of good songs here Frank Ocean, "Blonde" (2016) never owned or listened to it Stevie Wonder, "Songs in the Key of Life" (1976) his best album was innervisions, by far Kendrick Lamar, "good kid, m.A.A.d city" (2012) never heard of it Amy Winehouse, "Back to Black" (2006) heard of her but never listened to the album Nirvana, "Nevermind" (1991) good album Beyoncé, "Lemonade" (2016) never listened to it Some of my choices would of been, Black Sabbath-Paranoid, Yes-Fragile, Simon and Garfunkel-Bridge over Troubled Waters, Led Zepplin Three, Pink Floyd-The Wall, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Who-Quadroplinia, Albert Hammond-The Free Electric Band, Deep Purple-Who do we Think we Are
I think Ian made a big mistake not visiting Elvis. He should of considered himself lucky to get the offer. The fact that Elvis wasn't in his prime is irrelevant. Ian performs when he's not in his prime. I'm sure elvis was still pretty good in 69. Would you refuse an offer to meet Babe Ruth in the lockeroom after the game you went to see him play, just because he struck out 4 times? Ian should show more class as a person.
I listen to Mark's self-titled solo album at least once a year. The album makes me listen, and I hear something different every time. I absolutely love it, and so do you.
I also was at the High Voltage fest in 2010 right up front for ELP, I am a native Californian and flew to England to see ELP also saw them at the California Jam in 74 at 14 years of age also in front. Met Keith at the NAMM show and he was a true Gentleman got a great picture with him and he gave me a CD of the Keith Emerson Band, how lucky I am to have met him.
Used to love this band first extreme band I ever heard 24 years later I can't listen to it anymore I can't bring myself to listen to a band who support scum like antifa or any marxist movement 🤢🤮🤮🤮
Lol - stop racism? Something written and produced by small hats - that blames whyt ppl for everything ( actual raycism, faulting and blaming an entire race while giving non whyts a free pass ).
Saw them three times more than 20' ago - once the sound guy was a die hard fan (and used to play in a band touring with them) and this day was incredible cos of a MASSIVE TASTY SOUND
