Welcome to The Stockpile! This is a collection random videos: Car stuff, nerd projects, collectibles - we do it all. Without style. Without flair. That's just us 🖖🏼
I had a 12” power sub box in my Fit it sounded good ! I swapped it for a bazooka 8” sub and was surprised that it actually sounded louder clearer and had more bass !
I have a 2 wire old steam boiler system that the local hvac co won’t install any smart thermostats. I had a nest 3 running for about a year till it ran out of battery. Would this solve my problem. Thank you so much
Hey, I'm working on a similar project and I'm a bit worried about breaking something. Can you give me some tips on how to safely remove the rear part of the steering wheel? I'd really appreciate it.
It's been so long I'm not sure how much help I can be. When you say "rear part" what are you referring to? The whole wheel comes off by unscrewing a bolt in the front under the air bag. At that point you can work on any attached components on the back of the wheel.
I think that the problems with installing this seat lowering kit are down to the many differences between the North American version of the 500 and the European version. For example, the entire restraint (seatbelts/airbags) system was redesigned by Chrysler in preparation for US sale. The seats and their mounting are almost certainly different on the US version (built in Toluca, Mexico BTW) compared with the Euro version. I know this because I was the guy who performed the initial technical training for the new Fiat dealers in the Western US, back in 2010-2011.
They are nice…. But. I use them outside. The sporadically lose the communication mid strand. Part of the strand work correctly then after one light they go crazy.
If I have a two wire system, and I have 3 extra wires in the cable that are not being used, could I connect two of them to the transformer in the control box of my oil burner instead of using g an external power supply?
I don't understand why they didn't make a kit the fit the stock bolts? It looks like the height reduction is going from the stamped bracket to the completely flat one and the new bolt hole positions doesn't affect that?
Not quite sure what you're saying. BHP = break horsepower, which *is* essentially crank horsepower (the measurment of engine power without the drivetrain). You can't have "brake horsepower" at the wheels. "Wheel horsepower" is a completely different measurement. 33% drivetrain loss is not accurate.
Anyone who installed an external power adapter getting constant warning emails from Google saying you need to remove the power adapter and replace it with their power connector to prevent damages and void warranty?
@edbassmaster would you look at this? Tearing into the Sterrato to assess and repair damage from our adventures. We’ve got some good ideas to reinforce the front bumper and redesign the rear. And we’re gonna need that lift 🤔.
How do I get the fake key, buy it at Porsche or where because I bought some on the internet and it's no use, the ignition turns on but it doesn't turn on.
Are the lift kits for the model 451 and the 453 the same?I have a 2016 Passion and I don't see much in the way of extras and modifications for this year.
If you have a 24 Volt power supply and you've wired it like I've shown then it should detect the C-wire. Make sure it's wired exactly as shown with the right adapter. Good luck!
I actually did just get it to work. I got the c wire adapter from google it free right now. I also have a 24 volt adapter. Attached the c wire lead of the google adaptor to the one of the 24 volt adaptor wires. then I attached the other lead from 24 volt adaptor to the red wire from my thermostat and connected those to the red wire of the google adaptor. Then you just take your existing white wire from the thermostat and connect that to google adaptor. The google adapter gives you two wires to send through one goes into the red wire hole in the wall plate and the other into the white wire hole in the wall plate. On the app tell them you only have the "W" and "R" wire and tell them you've attached their c-wire adapter. It should let you through now with the set up. Hopefully this keeps working down the road. It's possible you don't even need the google adaptor. Just go through the app saying you only have the white and red wire, and say you have added the c-wire adapter and that might let you go through the set up process. I haven't tried that tho.
Thank you ! I watched dozens of videos by qualified HVAC guys and none got my Nest up and running. Yours was the only one the attached the two wires together and inserted them into the R slot. That worked for me.
Have you moved on from the phone mount? I am getting my 991.2 turbo s in days and been pulling my hair out on phone mount solution. I already got Rennline mount in my 997 on right side and it gets in the way with cup holder a bit. Back then I had smaller phone so it wasn't a biggy but now I have much bigger phone. Like you said, installation on right panel is not an option. Your location is not really good either as it blocks the screen and leg will hit the phone. I see lots of ppl in forum installed it by the center console but I hate the location as I will have to look down to see the phone. It really is challenging in 911. I know this is 6y old video and you probably did something else by now. have you found something better? Your phone with that plate location must have fallen all the time every time you pass bumpy roads lol. 911 doesn't exactly have a cushy ride lol.
In my current cars they have wireless Apple Carplay which is super nice- I can just leave my phone in my pocket and not deal with it at all. If you wanted to mount it in a 991 or 992 I still don't think there's a perfect solution.
