Channel 5: Yeah, that's what you said about *The Late Show With Joan Rivers.* Channel 28: Even with our crappy signal, we still have the King of Late Night! Channel 11: Meh, we'll get by with Ted Koppel. And we have the Pat Sajak show people actually watch since we have *Wheel of Fortune.* Plus, we're already kicking all your butts in late afternoons with Oprah. Seriously, channel 5, you thought *Small Wonder* was competition? Channel 5: At least that was an original show instead of your leftovers. Channel 11: Those "leftovers" were yours until 1985. Channel 5: Now you know why we switched networks. Channel 28: We stuck with NBC even when they stunk, and now look at them! Channel 5: I would, but I can't get a decent signal for you without cable. More people watch the sitcom reruns on channel 22 than watch your so-called newscasts. I watched "Newsbeat 28" one night, and it was so cheap I thought I was watching PBS so I was going to call in and pledge some money! Channel 4: Hey, that's getting personal. Leave me out of this. And you woke me up. I'm going back to bed until *Sesame Street.* Channel 28: We still have Johnny Carson and you don't. Channel 5: Yeah, when you're not preempting network shows for Billy Graham Crusades! Channel 28: This from the station that joined the boycott against *Soap?* We showed the reruns just so people could actually see it! Channel 5: They still didn't see it because of the signal! Channel 28: Is that all you've got? Channel 5: We've got a picture people can actually see. Channel 28: For shows nobody actually wants to watch! Some of what CBS is offering this season is so bad, if it was on NBC, we'd preempt it! We even pre-empted *the Facts of Life* for a Carolina game once. Channel 22: We've probably shown that same episode five times already by now! Channel 28: And you can have it now that we have *Family Ties* and *Cheers* in reruns. Channel 5: But we got *Cosby* reruns and you didn't! Channel 28: We'll live. We got them the first time. Channel 5: At least with us, you won't have to fiddle with the antenna constantly to see it! Channel 28: It's not 1962 anymore, grandpa. Ever hear of cable? Channel 5: Yes, and even with them and with NBC in first place nationally, you still can't beat us locally. Channel 28: If you're so great, why is NBC with me now? Channel 11: You petitioned the FCC to take NBC's best shows away from me. Channel 28: *I Dream of Jeannie* was canceled, so we took what we could get. If we survived *Hello, Larry* and *Supertrain,* we'll be fine. I didn't realize Pat Harrington took his "Schneider" character out of mothballs to do Rose's commercials. I remember his show from reruns and I remember shopping there, but I don't remember that ad campaign.

Halloween 4 + 5 will always be sentimental and nostalgic to me. I love Danielle Harris, still do. I was about the same age. I remember thinking, i want to be just like her...this pretty, brave, fearless and heroic little girl who can take on Michael Myers :) even in Halloween 4 when the "evil" took ahold of her, i was rooting for her and was hoping she would overcome that - she did. Halloween 5 wasnt a masterpiece but i was glad they didnt make her character villainous. I liked character Jamie Lloyd too much ;)

Ahhhhhh... the Raleigh Christmas Parade without all the controversy of the past few years, between the bad blood between the GRMC and WRAL's parent company after WTVD became the official parade channel (but WRAL still airs it every year without sponsorship), and the tragic accident in the 2022 parade :(
