Hello, forgive me if this sounds like a silly question but is the avh z7250bt the same as the avh 3500? I Placed an order for the z7250bt but received the 3500 nex. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
These things are junk. Put one in my wife’s truck and it lasted about 15 months. Just turned off and never came back on. Reset won’t work either. Meanwhile the Alpine in my truck been kicking for 6 years. Two JVC’s in 2 years and both did the same thing. Save your money people!
Question, when you press NAV to enter Carplay, does it reset to the default Toyota OEM view when the vehicle is shut-down and re-started? Just wondering if you need to hold NAV every time the vehicle is started.
I have this unit factory fitted in a UR BT-50. DAB has never worked and it wont recognise my android device when connected via HDMI. can you shed any light @thefittingbay
How do you wire your reverse camera ? I bought a similar one and I followed the istructions but nothing happens when I engage reverse not even a black screen. Parking sensors are engaging as normal. The cables are a little diffrent from the ones in the picture but still. I believe that I haven't done some setings on the unit maybe?
Engineering mode is accessed by pressing the call end button, the hash button and the number 1 button all at the same time. From there scroll down and follow your nose.
Hi just a quick question the stereo system plays all the dialogue from say apps such as Waze and all original controls for hands free call work as per normal?
Hey would this work on a 2017 Mazda 3 base model with the same stock headunit as in your video?? My doesn’t have steering controls or the control knob in the middle but it has the space for it just like in your video
Low resolution, no wireless android auto, no dab antenna included, not even a 1 din frame included for installation, and the most expensive in this class of headunits. Yeah no thanks
I find trying to reuse the existing radio mount brackets on an aftermarket radio, has the radio sitting way too far back into the dash. How did you get yours to sit out and forward enough to be flush with the dash?
This doesn’t work for newer Alpine units. I tried it on my alpine iLX-507 and the unit requires a change of state. So basically if the head unit starts up with the park wire grounded it will not allow you to use certain functions. It needs to turn on, have no ground connection to the e brake wire, and then get a switched ground signal from some where. If you wire it to your embrace and then actuate the e brake, the ebrake basically works like a large switch. You could wire the ground wire to a switch along with the e brake wire and turn it on after the head unit has powered up. I don’t know if there is some sort of resistor or other electrical device that you could wire inline from the ground wire to the e brake wire that would regard the ground connection for a second so that the head unit see a change of state from non ground to grounded after the head unit powers up. If you know of a device that can do that please let me know.
