@@jimcrapo a few weeks back I snagged some bunker and put it in a snapper popper, didn’t get anything. Hopefully I get some in my next video. My dad use to fish this bridge during the same time (the old bridge)
Hey I been looking at your shows because I have really bad anxiety I'm 52 years old and looking at your shows really takes some anxiety away so I got some fishing poles I live right by the water on the lower east side of manhattan I would like to know if we can meet up and if u can teach me how to fish a little but I really don't want to be on any videos it's just for me to relax and take some anxiety away I know it's a lot to ask but I would really appreciate it if u can I just want to learn at the same time better myself
@@NicksOutdoors_ cow nose rays are very docile. They are used in touch tanks at large aquariums. You would have to work pretty hard to get stung by a cow nose ray.
Here's what I come up with, I'm watching all you guys from NY fish, catch fish having a blast, while I sit around and complain with a brand new pedal yak in my back yard
I have fished there since I was a little boy nice to see you catch something but that location is not worth the time if you catch anything there consider yourself very lucky that bridge just dose not hold any quality fish sometime they just pass thru and you get lucky I wish it was different. But good job I wish you luck.
I am new to oeir fishing. What are you using for a rod (length) and reel? I'd like either fish off red hook or maybe shirley chisolm. Bridges seem too high.

@@derektut thanks It’s funny sometimes I see guys on the bridge fishing for porgies with 12’ poles and big reels, fish stealing their bait all day long lol. Oh and the penn rod I have it’s 7’ I can feel every hit
That was the first place I ever dropped a hook into salt water......in 1958. There is no channel there so the water is very shallow. I recently watched videos of people in kayaks and skiffs (rented from Rockaway) under the marine park bridge slamming decent porgies.
