I attended most super late events 2007-2019 and I don't recall anyone officially beating this one in that time. They all blend together at this point though lol. Scott is also still listed on their website as the official track record for what it's worth.
No disrespect to Richard Petty Dale Earnhardt Bill Elliott Tim Richmond no disrespect but Tony Stewart you too even though you race on dirt fairly regularly just keep your ass at the house any of the kings of the asphalt the NASCAR champions of nowadays definitely wouldn't even have a snowball chance in hell even a remotely snow balls chance in hell on a dirt track not even slightly a chance of beating this man on the dirt track

I first met Scott back in the 90's at Paducah International Race way. I raced A.M.A Flat Track Motorcycle racing and ran the track on a Thursday night and the Hava - Tampa Late Model's ran the World 50 Friday and Saturday night and we stayed to watch them. I sat down in the pits at Bloomquist hauler and he's a wonderful guy. Since that weekend he's been my favorite Late Model Dirt Stock Car Driver and Scott Bloomquist is the greatest Late Model Stock Car Driver there's ever been without a doubt. I'm not saying this because of that weekend,I'm saying it because I've been to many of race's since and watched Bloomquist race and his resume doesn't lie. He's the GOAT of Late Model Dirt Racing!
That's an awesome story. I can definitely see Scott having tremendous respect for flat track motorcycle racing. You have to live for it in that style of racing. Still hard to process he's gone. The greatest racer ever imo. One of the most brilliant minds in the history of auto racing. NASCAR was scared to death of him and wouldn't allow him to race in the Busch Series when he attempted to get a car. But, I'm thankful he never had the opportunity in NASCAR because he just made dirt late model racing more popular. He took a sport that got virtually no mainstream exposure and helped build a strong industry that will live on as long as competitive racing exists.
Thanks! Various paints depending on the color I needed: Exxon 51: Tamiya TS-14 black. No clear. City 46: Krylon fluorescent yellow and green, and automotive 2K clear. Superflo 46: Krylon fluorescent cerise, a white base coat that I never got code for, 2K clear. Hardee's 18: Rustoleum flourscent orange, 2K clear. The orange is a bit too deep but close as I could get at time. Have since learned the real car was painted with House of Kolor Neon Honey but I think that paint is discontinued. Both Mellow Yellow 51 cars: Krylon fluorescent green, GM WA8555 black base coat, 2K clear. Goody's 34: Createx Pearl Magenta, GM WA8555 black, 2K clear. Only the weathered Mellow Yellow and Goody's cars have clear over decals.
