Mimi is my number 1 choice as a fav char in Digimon series, her visual, personality and sweet english voice made me fall in love with her! Her adult incarnation is agoddess to, and her orignal child design reminds me of Aerigh from Final Fantasy 7
hopefully toyotarou will make these two fight and hopefully akira gave his approval for this. and no im not expecting a long fight between them, its pretty much gonna be a traditional duel like two people with a gun in hand and see who has the quicker shot but I am expecting black frieza to face zenos guards, the grand priest and the other gods and maybe angels. Im looking forward to that more than frieza take on goku and vegeta for the dozenth time.
That last question? Matt would have become the leader. Davis is TK's age, and none of the other children would have ever given him the chance to be a leader. Just saying.
When I was younger Davis was off to me. Then I watched the sub and fell in love with Daisuke, and I realized that everything I disliked about Davis was the added arrogance and stupidity that the dub gave him for some reason.
lol, Messi is better football. This is consensus. Only who thinks that Eonaldo is better are real madrid fans. Neutral fans thinks Messi is just better
I think most Digimon fans can't stand Davis, because he has feelings for Kari and they see their TaKari Ship in danger. Anyway, I love him. For me he is a good leader with good character development and his funny manner is entertaining and leads the plot. Without him, Digimon 2 wouldn't be half as good. I cheered him on every time he tried to get close to Kari and I would have celebrated, if they had become a couple. TK's character, on the other hand, I find pretty flat and it probably didn't bother him that Davis wanted something from Kari. He certainly wouldn't have been a good leader. By the way, I think Davis is even better than Tai and Takato.
TK being the leader had merit, but Tai, and later Matt, understood why Davis needed to be the leader, so TK had to assume Matt’s role… until Ken joined and TK settled for Joe’s role in terms of responsibility.
I know I’m late to the party, but I love Mimi and at a time where girl characters basically had to be “Not like the other girls” I love that Mimi came out shouting “I like pink!” And she stands right next to tomboy Sora not as a contrast, but because both paths are totally valid.
Daisuke/Davis is easily my most favourite character in the entire Digimon franchise. I give you four reasons: 1) He has a life outside of being digidestined, he lives a full life and is full of hope. He cares about humanity and digimon and is always willing to take on challenges. 2) Unlike Taichi, Ken, TK or even Yamato, Daisuke can't be trapped, he is emotionally resilient. Therefore, he never gives up. 3) He had the most growth throughout the show. He didn't want to be in so many situations and didn't want to make so many decisions but was pushed into them and made the most out of those situations. 4) He is flawed, is always willing to accept it and he forgives without holding grudges. He believes in second chances and is optimistic. This makes him the most human of all the Goggle-heads out there.
In the original series, he was great, he was overused in 02 because there was no need for him to be brought back as the final antagonist when his story was wrapped up well enough in the forst season. If anything it somewhat seems like a cop out or pandering to bring him back as the final big bad in 02. So yeah but also no. It depends upon perspective. While not my favorite personally, he was a great villain, but 02 could've left him out and had a better villain behind the curtain.
Honestly, for the Dark Masters, as controversial as it seems, Datamon would be an interesting choice, not for being strong, but for being resourceful. He was defeated and trapped, yes, but was also capable of wiping out most of Etemon's minions, tried to create a perfect clone of Sora and was a threat for hacking into networks. Imagine if he could somehow manipulate and control Black Gears, create clones or even recreate Kimeramon by scanning their data. Have him take over other cyborg or machine based Digimon, having him be on par with Machindreymon, not in terms of strength, but of control over machines. Heck, he could even try to hijack or re-ingeneer a digivice for his own minions to Dark Digivolve.
I think IMO he is like the only Tamer that can keep his digimon even at old age cuz he has like a goal to make the perfect Ramen and that is motivation and growth which you need to keep your digimon.
In my Fanfiction, I gave Yusaku the World Legacy series as his cover and later main deck whenever he duels outside Link VRAINS. In the first part up to the Tower of Hanoi, Yusaku runs World Chalice, Krawlers, Mekk-Knights and he gets Knightmares after winning against one of the Hanoi Project Masterminds. He is supposed to have a 5 out of 6 win rate with it. - vs Shima Naoki W - vs Aoi W - vs Emma W - vs Aoi L - vs Hanekoma W - vs Revolver W
The holy Digiimon here consist of: 1.valdurmon 2.Seraphimon 3.Cherubimon 4.Ophanimon 5.Rasielmon 6.Clavisangemon 7.Slashangemon i will bet that shakkoumon is probably Clavisangemon who got devolved.
Tbh I do think Yami Marik is a different person from marik, in my opinion (Ima call Yami Marik Malick) Malick sort of acts like a demon in a way and probably is a demon, maybe specifically of destruction or revenge..? Malick seems to know alot about things that it shouldn’t know about and I think it’s been here longer than we think it has, their is no way Marik could have thought up those extreme stunts by themself their had to atleast be some influence to maybe it was acting as a inner voice this who time , and that’s why when malick was trying to take over Marik was all then willing to get rid of malick because they knew the truth? Demons in many ways could linger for years on end for someone to make a deal or strike down when someone is sinning, could that be the case here? Malick could also not have a physical body and that’s why when possessing Marik does the possession look nothing like how Marik looks since when the spirits seem to possess their owner they have very subtle changes to their appearance, while malick transformation is more extreme. Also did you notice Marik body changing drastically? I mean malick seemed to turn buff in like two seconds and grew in height, demons don’t look human right that why malick look so uncanny to look at it’s not human. I mean that kinda my conclusion as the split personality thing wouldn’t make sense here as personallys don’t change your physical appearance, but that’s just my opinion. -E
The cool thing about the Digimon Adventure 2020 reboot is that they have Taichi and Koushirou Japanese name in the dubbed version as well but he preferred people to call him Tai and Koushirou wanna to be known as Izzy.
I love Mimi and I think she suffers the biggest character assassination in English Dub. In the Japanese version she's less of an airhead cry baby. I think Alot of the hate of her stems from our localization of Digimon. They made her Cher From Clueless...Mimi is more supportive and sweet in the Subtitled version. She doesn't talk about the digimons fashion Choices and flaunt her wealth around in the subbed version. I think most people hate her because she's not a fighter. Listen! She helped her Team at the end of every episode. Mimi was present during every important battle and she helped! 🩷🧏💯 . If it wasn't for Mimi and Joe Peidmon would've defeated the kids! She gathered reinforcements during the final boss battle. 🧏💯. It's not her fault America changed her character from a wealthy, pure of heart, pretty girl into a snobby valley girl. Mimi isn't my favorite character but I find her hilarious in the English Dub. Her crest completely changed her personality in the translations. Her original crest is purity. She's wealthy so she hasn't got the divorce "matt, T.K", adoption"Izzy", strict tiger parents"Joe", or a strained relationship with her mom""Sora". Mimi lives a life of privilege and that's fine. She ain't got no trauma until she goes to the digital world. She evolves throughout the 50 episodes of Digimon. I think adult fans that have seen the subbed version like Mimi. She's not as popular as Sora but. Sora is a tom boy. She's the mom of the team.
@Dimzy's Domain Huge fan of the original Yugioh and GX the other shows never got my interest. I had a theory so you remember the Sacred Beast Cards from Yugioh GX right ? They were never explained in the anime. I refuse to watch subtitles cause if I wanted to read I would read a book. So my head cannon is that the Sacred Beast Cards were accidentally created by Marik and his rare hunters during the process of creating the fake Egyptian god cards. It makes sense to me. Who else would have the resources and know how of the ancient scriptures to even attempt something like that other than Marik and even then it was a fluke. After the dust settled somehow Kaiba got hold of the Sacred Beast Cards. This is Kaiba we are talking about so his ambition eventually resulted in him finding the cards and then setting up duelist academy to figure out how to summon them or control them.
But if Genai is evil what is his ultimate goal just chaos for chaos's sake and if he was evil why did he help the children against Apoclyamon instead of just letting him destroy the Digital world.
Okay, let me get this straight. Sometime before Digimon Adventure 2020, another group of Digidestind tried to defeat whatever was threatening the Digital World years before, only to fail in the end. This sounds all too familiar to Adventure Classic.
Davis/Daisuke is awesome & he's one of the only leaders who stopped before forcing his partner digimon to digivolve though... Also Daisuke idolised Tai because he was one of the only older kids to help him learn football skills. And Daisuke is literally a Miracle i mean he's Courageous, friendly (even when unsure) and he has alot of strategy skills... So i totally agree with you he's a kid so obviously he has flaws but he's awesome
Previous owner of the millennium ring murdered Ryuo's mother and sister poor Amane is dead I hope she's alive in season 5 of Yu-Gi-Oh classic or we at least get a flashback sequence of Amane
Very late to watching this, but my opinion is, if you get rid of the flaws Arc V has, and they do exist, Arc V could easily be the best Yugioh series so far. Unfortunately, since those flaws exist it isn't.
