Veronika Harcsa is a uniquely versatile Hungarian jazz singer and songwriter. Having performed in 25 countries, she played with Enrico Pieranunzi, Julia Hülsmann, Jeremy Friedman, Erik Truffaz, Kris Defoort, the Franz Liszt Chamber Music Orchestra, Concerto Budapest and many more. Most recently she worked with Academy Award winner director Jiří Menzel on a dadaist opera production.
Her current main project is an acoustic duo with guitar player Bálint Gyémánt, their albums Lifelover and Tell Her released on Berlin-based label Traumton. She previously produced four albums with her jazz quartet, one avant-garde poem album in Hungarian, and two albums with the electronic band Bin-Jip. Besides touring across Europe, she is artist in residence since 2014 at the Valley of Arts Festival in Hungary, where she runs her own stage, being responsible for the jazz program of the cultic ten days festival.
