This channel is my home for the hundreds of classic Motocross and Supercross races I have in my video collection. Most of these races I have ripped from my private collection of VHS tapes.
So great to have this footage for this historic event. Magoo was simply unstoppable. It's so nice that he had his "days in the sun" at the MX and Trophee des Nations in '82 which was the cherries on the cake for immortalizing his name in the sport forever. Way to go team USA! So proud of all of you.
Danny was our hometown hero growing and still living in the town Danny was from was definitely a awesome childhood experience you will always be missed “MAGOO” he was always about us kids from phots shoots to spare parts for our bikes… You will always be the greatest!!!
Penhall announcing is as bad as jackie stewart doing it. He was just a poser. If he didnt cheat in LA Kenny Carter would be world champion. Win at any cost Penhall. Black eye on the sport.
The shirtless announcer has to be the first I've ever seen. So much nostalgia from this, from the 1-800-Collect to the VHS resolution! Thanks for posting and Im excited for tomorrow's Wick.
This was such a great era of MX. i started going to races in 1986 as kid with my dad and brother and were all still fans today. But was something magic about it pre internet
I was lucky enough to watch this main event from the center of the track at the finish line after a friend and I snuck in.. When Rick Ryan went over the finish line, my friend, Carlos, helped Rick to his feet after Rick collapsed in pain on the ground because of his knee. Back in the day, Motoworld covered this Supercross event and my friend and I can be seen standing next to Rick. I wish I could find a video of the Motoworld coverage. It was my 15 minutes of Fame.😄
I went to every Atlanta SX from 1986-2004 probably The early days at Atlanta-Fulton Co. stadium wed always freeze since outdoors and baseball & football stadium so no wind protection
lets see 18:05 finding a necklace means more to the over paid PRO riders than the contract they signed to ride to win the hundreds of thousand dollar contracts maybe milions they never want to talk about how much money they get paid but findoing a necklace and the pro is suddenly motovated LOL im telling you people houston we have a problem
I was there. My buddies and I went with a cooler of ice cold beer and no tickets. We were a ragtag bunch of young desert rats and we tried to bribe our way in with beer. The guy at the gate was laughing at us for coming out without tickets. I said we spend all our money on premix, sparkplugs and knobbies but we just had to be here. Right answer! He let us all in. Thanks bro wherever you are!
