The study of the dance of metal spinning copper. The flow, rhythm and movement of man and metal are demonstrated using traditional tools on a manual metal spinning lathe. Later videos begin to explore the relationship between repetition, discipline and patience with the ability to challenge our beliefs about ourselves and others, ultimately to be able to change and learn. The author has produced tens of thousands of pieces in this way and through this practice discovered a tool to quiet the mind and listen to what the metal has to say. With many of the same properties we ascribe to people; memory, stress, fatigue, temper, strength, yield point, etc parallels exist in behavior.
i drove a Nissan forklift then had to learn an electric forklift. my newest place has a old ass Datsun forklift with an X control for the forks. it was twice the size of anything ive driven before and scared the hell out of me.

for a while there it sounded like the alien ship in the colour version of Quatermass and the pit, guess we know part of what got mixed into the sound FX. Very good video.
nice work, thanks for sharing. you may want to get a roll of 3" thick refractory blanket, kaowhool or similar, and stand it on edge around your workpiece ...this should trap the heat and give you a much faster, more even anneal heat...save time and fuel.
I think I saw you guys on the pcn tours show. True craftsmen, and you make it look easy, though I know it's a tedious learning curve. I'm in northwest pa. and have been spinning some aluminum side covers for my antique bike over the winter.
