Thank you so much for posting this! I saw this train the day after this was recorded, but left before the dpu passed, and I've been searching for the locomotive number, and I finally found thanks to this video!
I do not catch all of the cool stuff lol! Wish I did. The Railwatch video is coming, the Summer Railfan Hootenannie is Saturday, August 3rd if you want to start planning now!
I know I've said this before, but when you see foreign power on the S&NA, it looks like foreign power. If that makes any sense. I just take for granted that I see it all the time on the Memphis East West. Nice catch, too, brother 👍
It definitely makes sense, since we've been starved of regular foreign power on the S&NA for a few years now (luckily we live so close to the Memphis East with regular UP and BN power). I have several videos coming up with lots of foreign power on the S&NA, the floodgates opened last month, that's for sure!
@@MoodyBlue42.. Oh if you are gonna be near CSX today: B231-07 should be leaving bham sometime this morning with 2 KCS, CP 7016 (maroon and grey block paint unit), and 2 BNs
@trainguycalebrator Thanks for the heads-up, brother 👍 A few weeks ago, I caught a (I think) an sb all CN potash 2×3 or 3×2×0 at Lenwood Rd crossing and all I could do was watch 😑
Funny thing.. when I stopped in Decatur coming down with my Grandpa to Panama City in late January last year, 72Z happened to be the one train I caught. Also, I think on Spring Break 2022, I caught a C319 (then N319) reroute on the Big Sandy Sub.
72Z just likes to show up at random times! C319 has been rerouting a lot lately. I actually think it took the Big Sandy side a week or so ago surprisingly.
Nice horn and the crazy swirling anomaly of the cut of tankers. I know it's just air being pushed "for a lack of a better term." It's still crazy sounding.
