If he was from Palestine then why is he the king of Jews and why was he born in Bethlehem? Definitely not from Palestine but the mexican part of the joke has me cackling haha
I’m kinda confused by ur comment but I guess I’ll answer. The reason is originally Jews originated from what was (at the time of Jesus’ life) the Roman Province of Judea, now referred to as Israel or Palestine. Furthermore, there are multiple Roman records and historians that document Jesus and his origins in Judea. Also, I’m confused though what you mean on “why was he was born in Bethlehem?”, but I’ll try to answer it anyway. In the Nativity story it is said that he had to go to Bethlehem because of the Roman census requiring his parents to go to their ancestral homeland (Bethlehem). Then, while being in Bethlehem, Mary gave birth to Jesus Christ. Although, some scholars believe they say he was born in Bethlehem due to its connections to King David (A former king of the Jewish people), but this is open to your opinion.
