Great to see the advanced analytical capability from SAP for B1 which includes real-time reporting and dashboard capabilities. Given this functionality is only available to SAP B1/HANA customers, it will require a significant investment to gain this capability for those migrating from SAP B1 SQL Server. You need something that works with SQL or HANA environments and provides a truly self-service environment for business end users. QuickStart for SAP B1 leveraging IBM Analytics could easily solve that. Leveraging your existing infrastructure without requiring upgrading to a newer release of SAP B1.
I think the most key point in extensions of sap b1 quality management, payroll, plant maintenance. these functionalities can help SAP to compete with other ERP soft wares.
At this point the best strategy for SAP B1 as a growing product will be to acquire as many industry specific add ons(eg WMS, payroll(different localisation), fleet management, contract management, real estate management) from partners all around the world, optimise them and keep them in SAP B1 extended standard offering. Mid market(more specifically in Middle east, South and South East Asia) looks for more comprehensive solution and standard offerings are always a game changer
I have never had a single SME customer mention Carbon Footprint Management as a requirement for their solution nor have they asked for it integrated in our cloud - I do not understand why it is being mentioned so much in relation to SAP Business One but I would love to know if others are seeing the same thing. BTP pricing also needs to be reviewed as the majority of SME customers I have spoken to regard it as unaffordable.
Richard, you are spot on right. Development should focus on more SME related requirements - hence, not dictated by other SAP offerings, and BTP for sure is way too expensive for the SME market
Sorry dear... Have you ever worked with your KI based invoice recognition system yourself? Just in case I forget to mention it... It's slow.... And it doesn't work outside of SAP standard. So if your company always just an invoice for one single item on an invoice, you can actually try to use it. Sorry... It's completely off from reality...
Question... Has every any client told you that sap B1 is fast? No... It's slow, slow and slow and not state of the art. No matter if it runs on premise or in the cloud.
Make this ugly monster faster.... This is what people care about. Make it workable for your customers. Creating a PDF if in 15 seconds is not state of the art. You create and develop not along the needs of your clients.
