Honestly imo his early stuff and especially Close to You and Moon River were absolute bangers I listened to more of the Djesse material tho and I got so fkin lost and I listen to Cardiacs! lol
I'm always blown away by your singing, your voice is actually beautiful. Also, I think you should let yourself do some basic mixing after the fact on these, it would really put that finishing touch on the final product and I don't feel would really be cheating.
@@RyanHeynsbroek good points - on the next one I’m gonna try mixing after. And thank you very much! I’ve been very insecure about my voice for the longest time so I’m glad someone likes it haha
You're seriously underrated! I found this channel by your "Stuff Jacob Collier Says" video, and may I say that that video was hilarious! I also respect your musical skill and your ability to produce. Keep up the great work!
@@ScottKeyy it only gets worse from here pal btw the character OP is mentioning (gelatin) doesn't appear until season 2 and recently got a new VA with a totally different voice
Hello, Scott Key,,, I hope you are well. i am not a bot. I am a person. I give 10/10! Give yourself as much time as you want. I do just wanna hear a gnarly cover and that's always delivered.
Also I have a great idea about your RU-vid channel. your content is very good. But your videos are not SEO that's means Search engine Optimization . and your video SEO score is very low . if you want then i can help you.
Hi, i'm a casual person. I once posted on youtube a shitty video of a gameplay that took me like 3 minutes and got more views than your video, which i think it took way more than 3 minutes to do and edit. Now, if you enjoy doing it keep doing it. If you are trying your format and this is a compromiss i suggest to change it. As a casual useless person i am not interested in clicking a video where someone recreate a song that exists. I'm telling you that beacouse i think the quality that you are putting in this videos deserves better feedback. One option may be trying to mix something viral into a song. This seems more: " watch me working on sometging" which is not attractive for superficial people, like me.

Nice one! Much improvement between this and the last one :) Maybe you cut even cut out the final result and release it as a seperate video. That would attract a different audience that just looks for a cover + you'd save up some time on this video and have people from this clip engage with another video of yours and keep them on your channel. At the end of the song you could even add a small recap of yours and telling them to check out the Making Of! 4:31 you even pointed to your actual left. What a pro!! :D Btw. what camera are you using? I also had problems with Sony's overheating. Always turn of the display if possible and you can buy small super cheap mini fans online and simply put them on top or below the camera or behind the screem. In OBS you can add a noise cancellation for the fan - but for the Reason recording you'd probably have to put them off for a second (they usually have small switches to turn them off).
I just watched the full video! I think its funny! You're funny! But overall 30 minutes feels very long. I like the idea in general, so maybe you could even do an uncut version as a livestream here and then make it a 10 minutes cut video + some shorts with the final results for other social media platforms aswell :D But i'll keep watching
@@soundlucky that’s a good idea - thank u for the feedback! I was thinking something similar - I might keep these 15+ for a couple of reasons but def on the same track as you. I’m posting another one tomorrow night hopefully that will be closer to worthy of being long
I’d say well done. I got waves of this is cute, this is a bit mean, this is a bit wide of the mark. Overall I thought it was amusing, but in an ironic way. I started watching the video from the viewpoint of “what Jacob Collier sounds like to people who do not/cannot/will not appreciate Jacob collier.” Somewhere along the way in my quasi anthropological and philosophical study of JC, I came to know that whenever my woefully lilliputian, underdeveloped and overconfident intellect found fault with any of JCs creations be they words, notes, methods, or moments, the fault was mine. I was lacking some knowledge or understanding which was keeping me blocked from appreciating said creation as intended. I sincerely wish that all humans the world over alive from this moment on come to fall in love with Jacob Collier and his works. Through his catalogue, JC has taught me so much about this wacky experience of living life as a human being here and now. To me, JCs music has become my cliff’s notes, my flinstone’s vitamins, my magic 8-ball, my antidote to apathy, basically my cure for what ails. That is why I wish everyone comes to know and loveJacob, so they can benefit how I have or more. That is what music is for, right?
