Hello! I likely won't do a video reading my essays. I don't want people to view it as a template or guideline since essays are personal and there is more than one way to write a great essay. However, I might consider doing a video on essays and generally discuss the topics I wrote about as well as give essay advice!

I have a 3.8 currently as a freshmen. Will having a GPA below 4.0 be a problem? Transitioning from middle school to high school with online school has been difficult. The teachers loss lack of motivation to teach and classes end almost 45 minutes early with no notes. However, have many ideas for extra circulars and clubs that I know will make me stand out.
In my opinion, having a GPA below 4.0 isn't a dealbreaker. Most colleges look at applicants holistically and will consider all parts of the application. Also, the pandemic is an extraordinary circumstance that has affected everyone. I'm sure colleges will be mindful of its impact for the next couple admission cycles. Pursuing your passions in extracurriculars and clubs is a great thing to do!
will you be making a video on your math progression? I saw in a previous video you mentioned that. Also, was your last math class freshman year or did you duel enroll at some near by college but forgot to mention it?
Yes, I will! It will likely come out this summer, so stay tuned! I took my last math class at my high school in freshman year. After then, I enrolled in math classes at my local university. I'll elaborate in my math progression video :)
@@FavouredLife I am also very interested in hearing more about your math progression. My daughter loves math and is on a similar progression so I am looking forward to your post.
Hi Sahiba! Most schools accept both the SAT and the ACT and allow for you to choose to report what you scored higher on. Each school's testing requirement is unique, so I would encourage you to research the testing requirements of the schools you're interested in. You can typically find this information on their admissions website. Also, check out my ACT tips video! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-bkvSms9uhEM.html
I'm interested in what they teach you and how they prepare you for the real world. I'm sure it's very difficult, given the caliber of its students, but I don't often hear about what makes the MIT learning experience unique.
Hi Roy, great question! I'll consider doing a video answering it more in depth. In the meantime, I'll give a brief answer here. MIT prepares students for the real world by teaching students how to think and solve problems. While classes teach specific material, an overarching theme is teaching students how to problem solve. As such, an MIT education prepares students to succeed in a vast number of fields, even outside their major. During freshman orientation (video about my experience coming soon!) they told us within 5 years of graduating, 75% of MIT undergrad alums are working in a field not directly related to their major! There are many things that makes the MIT learning experience unique. One of my favorite parts about MIT is their emphasis on collaboration. Homework is designed to be very challenging and encourage you to collaborate with others. You can check out my College Decision Reveal video to find out more about why I chose MIT. I also encourage you to explore the admissions blogs at mitadmissions.org, the MIT admissions instagram, as well as other MIT sites online.

you should def compete in IPO - physics olympiad or USACO - computer science olympiad, basically if you win awards in either of those competitions I think you're set for any ivy league.
Congratulations! This all represents a lot of hard work and perseverance. Excited for your time at MIT. Our graduated from MIT in 2015 and was involved with campus fellowships. If your parents are interested, there is a private Facebook group for MIT Christian Community Prayer Group. Let me know if they would like to join. You are going to ROCK MIT and they will all be so blessed to have you. All the best to you!
