I think that while batman the animated series was legendary and honestly hated in parts that it should not be like batman got clubbered so many times and like "batman in my basement did him a disservice." Well he got captured so many times thoughout the series are we really going to nit pick about that tiny insignifacant episode? Examples the episode where he gets amnisia and when the bat car needs repairs but nobody nitpivks that I say all this as my viewpoint that while iconic it was judt that for the sake of iconic. The Batman actully had an overarcing story that was actully had consequences and connection they went showing off they they where focused on telling a hgood batman story. I feel like the Batman's batgirl had depth and wasnt just eye candy. Plus we get him to interact with thevpolice force more so hes not just some guy who checks in with the honcho just to get the o.k to be beat the crap out of somebody. It felt more genuine.
Monty Oum was a huge proponent of the finer details of how you make animation into a visual language with a HUGE emphasis on timing and planning how the audience is going to be internalizing the information flow of the scene (that second part is the big thing that big budget movies are consistently *TERRIBLE* at to the point of having come up with a whole slew of standard practices specifically to _prevent_ the audience from being able to generate a frame of reference for connecting the events in sequences of events, this is where you get idiocy like thinking that Shaky Cam is a good idea), the basic idea behind the RWBY series was "how do I make a world in which the mechanics of visual storytelling make sense as a thing that exists in setting?" needless to say other animators quite liked the idea. ^basically imagine one of those people that rant about how videogame cinematics and even stick figure fights on youtube are often better animated than the special effects in movies with multi-million dollar budgets, now imagine that instead of some tween beating on their keyboard trying to sound important the person talking actually understands the what, why, and how of those differences and even the basics of the business side of things and has worked on the problem from multiple sides of the equation (mostly as a major-series fighting game animator).
Perfect tribute for Carnage. Perfect song choice and editing. Perfect work. I've literally never had one of these before so congratulations! Perfect hat trick.
crazy that you put this song on this edit for the batman cartoon and it ends up being a song for the batman movie 2 years later, are you a time traveler?
