Elphage was a hound, I remember my freshman year at O.Perry Walker, I had just came from our game and was watching Friday Night football and seen Carver #6 return a kickoff against JT Curtis, then I seen homie at QB running & throwing to Freddy Stamps them boys nearly beat Curtis, then we played against Carver his senior year, he didn’t go to hard on us but we still lost 69-24 😂😂😂 Carver was putting up basketball scores that year, and Bruce Eugene was at Cohen Quarterbacking. But Elphage was stupid cold at QB we was talking about Carver that whole week leading up to the game, this dude was a legend at the school… Like what he doing at the K too.
This guy was hella good he even talk about what he did and what he accomplish in a humble way and wanted his teammates to get glory when he could of made it more about him
I’m all for these “standards” that are being put into place to be more assured of winning but was there something wrong with those standards in 2019? - when our team was setting THE national standard. Player talent won us the Nattie in 2019 - not the jolly & likeable Orgeron - same coach but different talent levels in 2020&21….just look at the results! I think it’s more the coaches ability to attract talent that really matters [e.g. Alabama kept winning because they kept higher stocks of best talent incoming]. Are we over-egging the influence/effects of coaching? In LSU I’ve seen so-called defenders unable to tackle in the past 3 years - they don’t look like natural defenders and I’m doubtful that all the coaching in the world would change that.
I’m inclined to agree with BK in many respects. How far back do you allow professional ball go? If CFB morphs into a fully professional “youth-NFL” league then the HS game will surely become for college ball what college is now to NFL [a feeder system]. ….ergo NIL for better high-school talent and ultimately paying HS kids to play…no?
I respect Coach Kelly for his recent comments on other teams paying for players. He's above that. These young men don't deserve fair market value for their name and likeness. You don't need money when you can play for Coach Kelly. Oh, wait. He was just talking shit cause a kid chose to go to another school. Really classy guy. Now go outbid Miami & USC for that DE........
Not paying the going market rate for top quality already developed starting DTs is plain ass stupid. Especially with 25 million dollars on the line just for making it into the playoffs. It's like how could you not afford to pay for at least one of them if not more than one of them? I mean, saying like you are not going to buy players when everybody else eagerly does pay their market rate just means you will never get any starting quality already developed DTs in the transfer portal or any other position players in the transfer portal for that matter. Indeed, with 25 million dollars at stake on the line, how could you not pay the going market rate. I mean, that just plain ass stupid shit. Sorry, I don't buy Kelly's lame excuse. He's either lying or covering for Woodward, and because of whatever it is, Kelly got left behind.
You're gonna pay DTs more than what some of the coaches are making? You pay 1.2mil for a 1 year rental then there comes a point where you can't afford a roster. It's about setting up the future, the '25 and '26 classes could be LSUs best ever, allocate the funds to those kids. Just because you have money doesn't mean you should be reckless with it.
@@Familyman617 Well, if that's the case, then LSU needs to drop down out of power five football because they can no longer afford to keep up with the big boys. By the way, would Kelly and his coaching staff be here if they weren't paid their fair market value? Why should an experienced already developed DT accept a pay cut just to play for Kelly and LSU? None of them did because they are not stupid like you are. I mean, how could Kelly justify not paying those starting quality already developed DTs when there is $25 million dollars at stake just for making the playoff?. It's how Kelly could be stupid enough to let them go? And how does paying starting quality fully developed DTs and ensuring you make the playoffs and collect $25 million dollars is going to hurt the future of the program? I want to hear your lame explanation on that one. The only one advocating being reckless is you, because you are so incredibly stupid. Give me a break. Don't lose your day job because you won't get a new one.
You’re not listening to what he’s saying. He’s saying he’s not giving first round money to 5th round players and making twice as much as the best players on the roster. Also doesn’t like these handlers coming in and driving up the price being a leach
@@Familyman617 Yes, because that was his market value in the NIL transfer portal. I mean, obviously Oklahoma is dong it. Why? Because there is at a minimum $25 million dollars or more on the line if LSU makes the college football playoffs. If you collect $25 million dollars or more for making the college football playoffs, you can definitely afford a roster. Borrow the damn money if your NIL collective is so freaking weak. Otherwise, fire Scott Woodward for having a below par NIL collective relative to every other college football program LSU competes with. I mean Oklahoma wasn't stupid like LSU is. It's about you have puke for brains, wingnut! Go bore someone else to death with your immense stupidity wingnut.
