Hey thank you Paul. The Avid boats look much different on your video walkthrough, versus the sales brochure that I have. I love all the welded seams, and the keel. And the closed cell between the deck and the hull! I would love to have any one of those that you've shown today. Thanks so much Paul 👍
Paul, fantastic video. Great info on COBIA (Maverick) boats, their Yamaha lineage and path to where they are today. I purchased a competitors 28' last year, but my friend bought the COBIA 280 CC. We continue jab each other who made the best purchase. I will say, you perfectly highlighted the quality of this boat and I will look at my friends vessel differently from now on. Also, very nice bonus at ~24 mins in the video, going over the safety options...all offshore rides should have an EPIRB. Again, well done!
Thanks for your detailed walkthrough! We looked at this model today (elsewhere) and your walk through was better then at the dealership. Appreciate your attention to the details of the boat..... especially about the note about the trip to the Keys!! Very relevant being from the West Coast of FL.
Glad I saw your video would like to buy one can you price an 18 HPX-V in grey with the same features also would like to add a Rodan trolling motor and a stiffy push pole same trailer. Let me know went to beavertail today and was closed. So I am willing to drive any where for a good deal based on Miami and ready to pull the trigger thank you much Capt Dax
Passenger side captains chair when rotated to face rear ward has no room for your legs, it forces you to put your feet on the bench seating reducing available seating space for passengers. Yamaha should have continues the bench seating to the bulk head giving more seating areas and under seat storage.
The bi folding windscreen door is a gimmick as it opens up the bulk head storage allowing bow spray to enter, the last 2012 Sea Doo boats had a much better door that slide like a sliding door in a hole from with in the bulk head
Forward facing bow seats with the removable cushion is a gimmick, no one I Met have liked it nor the kids as they have no back support and makes them fill unstable when under way, it also reduces under seat storage, what a waste
Sorry but I own. 2013 - 242 limited S and I will never own a boat without a potty!!!!! Why did you loose it? I love my boat and my wife and I take friends and kids sometimes and it comes in handy. Bad bad bad....for not having it.
