Golding's writing is superb. "We've got to have rules and obey them. After all, we're not savages. We're English, and the English are best at everything." Hilarity soon ensues.
I do read a lot... mostly it's in little snippets throughout the day. Twenty minutes here, twenty minutes there. I also don't watch much TV at all; all of my TV shows and movies are on DVD or VHS, so it's a whole process watching TV, which means I don't do it as often. I've just made it a sort of habit that if I have any down time at all, it's book time!
City Hunter is really great. Must be a K Drama adaptation but it's originally an anime and manga series that is honestly a really really good time. I'd highly recommend seeking out the Hong Kong Film starring Jackie Chan, it's like it's own thing but it's over the top and has really stupid comedy for a live action that's just absurd.
lol, that sounds great. i know i've seen gifs of the city hunter anime but i've never looked deeper--the kdrama's always been enough for me. i'll have to look into it!
Nice pickups you got oh and by the way only seasons 1 thru 20 of the Simpsons were released on DVD the rest of the seasons after that are only on Disney Plus. Also the first Star Wars movie was called just Star Wars when it was first released but when it was re-released in theaters in 1981 the subtitle of A New Hope was added which that VHS should have it and speaking of that those Star Wars VHS's are the 1997 special editions where they first added new special effects and some added scenes to the movies.
Thank you for this review. Robert Cormier is my favourite author and although critically acclaimed, never had major commercial success. It's nice to see people still discussing his work.
I think when I was filming these ones, it was because I had them split up into groups of five rather than how I do it now, where it's based on what I read weekly.
Hi Aurora. I'm glad you like Lady Midnight. If it nearly made you cry wait til you get to Lord Of Shadows, wow!! I loved Malcolm. But Mark was a complete sweet heart. Carry on with the series it just gets better!!
Looking at your movies, I think there's a few I could recommend -- House (Japan, 1977), Spirit of the Beehive (Spain, 1973), The Seventh Seal (Sweden, 1957)
Holy Shit! Are those Scrooge McDuck bags all filled with books?!? RESPECT. I have most all the vinyl you showed off - great choices. WASP is particularly choice and they don't get enough Love. I suppose I have to subscribe now. I hope to start doing my own vinyl collection videos. I literally have like hundreds of vinyl records. Besides listening to them it would be fun to start conversations with other afficionados online.
Hi Aurora. I really enjoy your books, but I'm wondering how you get paid through kindle books and kindle unlimited. They are so cheap for us to buy, do you make good money for your wonderful stories?
Hi! I don't make a ton of money from book sales; KU gives me more than a regular eBook purchase, but I keep my eBooks priced low on purpose; it's always been more important for me that my books are widely available than that they make me money.
@@auroradimitre2568 well from now on I'll buy your paperbacks. I think that the amount of work you put in should be rewarded properly. Its right that you try to get your work in as many venues as possible though. Good luck my lovely. You deserve it!!
Hi Aurora. I like Laymon too. All Hallows Eve was lots of fun. I would suggest it as a starter for Laymon. Hope you are well and having a great summer!😊
I love watching your wrap ups. I wish I could read 7 to 0 books a week. My tbr would be done in about 3 months. I manage about 4 books a month. I'm a slow reader! 😊
Also I’ll recommend the book .cowboys and vampires the undead in north America by John lemay this a collection of news paper articles dealing with encounters with the undead
Your audio is a bit low at least to me . Have read any books in the fear street series ? Or any of the dark shadows novels . I think you might like dark shadows book 8 the demon of Barnabas Collin’s . The books are written in an away so you can pick up any dark shadows book and start there all the books are one and done and books are separate from the show . Like in book 8 Dr Moreno is her he was never in the show
yes, I finally found you again! :D I've been watching your videos for a long time, but only had your channel on my browser bookmarks. suddenly my old computer stopped working - I got a new computer, but no idea what your channel was called, since I never had to remember it. suddenly now I had this idea come up in my head, typed in "aurora stephen king" and here you are! dropped a sub so I won't lose you again. xD
Hi Aurora. I recently read Lost Boy by Christina Henry. It's a 're telling of Peter Pan but I got real Lord Of The Flies vibes from it. I would really recommend!!
Hi Aurora. I really liked Elevation. I know a lot of people were disappointed, I'm not sure why because I thought it was quite heartfelt to be honest. What did you think?
Hi Aurora. Wow that week was very productive. I remember when you hauled that Blossoms book when you were at college and giggles when you said look at this guy in gonna be reading this book. I'm glad you enjoyed it!.
