That first team represents very well the consequences of being a metaslave. You already knew the opponent's movesets and items, whereas they knew nothing about yours, hence they lost.😄
It's so smart to use Rillaboom as an ally for special Groudon here. It never makes sense to me when people have Rilla alongside physical Groudon with grassy terrain reducing the power of Precipice Blades. Also, it's pretty niche, but having a Chlorophyll user that can set up for you vs. a Prankster user that could very well be blocked by Psychic Terrain or Farigiraf/Tsareena is pretty neat! Loved this video, and I've been meaning to give special Groudon its fair shake at some point. Glad to see it pulls its weight!
@@GeordiVGC Funny enough Whimsicott does have access to Chlorophyll wich may surprise dark types, Farigiraf users and opponents on psychic terrain on the opposing side when they get Encore'd. It also learns Endeavor and Fake Tears, though no Thunder Wave but Stun Spore instead. Throat Chop is not an option however.
252+ SpA Choice Specs Groudon Eruption (150 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Calyrex-Ice in Sun with an ally's Friend Guard: 160-189 (91.4 - 108%) -- 50% chance to OHKO. So it depends on how it was built if it was needed but let's just say yes it more than likely was needed haha.
Whoa, I didn't think people were still using the team. I'm really glad it's so well received, and I'm glad you liked it! Oh yeah. The paste you used had the wrong moves on Ursh and Lati, sorry bout that 😅
@@alliekarwoski8929 Sure. I re-uploaded it. New code is 40GPM3 I did make a couple changes to Urshifu. I changed up it's stats. Even with the extra bulk, it just wasn't tanking hits for me and kept getting one shot anyway. So I gave it Sash to ensure it gets an attack off lol. Team still works just the same

This format sounds like so much fun! Makes me wanna get into ranked/comp VGC (I just don't like when they start adding legendaries, I'm not a fan of using them during any of my pokemon playthroughs in the first place)
In game 2 of the the top 8, why use overheat into lilligant instead of heat wave since it was at 1hp? Wouldn't it be better to also chip the other mon? Your videos are helping me learn VGC, keep up the good work Geordi!
