It’s the wrong props. You need transom lifting props. Strut position and battery placement plays a part but gotta have the correct props. I learned that the hard way with my Zelos 36
Just came across your video today, and I noticed you're having the exact same problem I have with my Rafale even though I fly off of rough pavement I have that exact same problem.
@@mcredtailflyer574 yeah, I added smaller nozzles but there are days it just needs more power. I honestly feel this would have been better as a twin 70 rather than a single 80mm. Just needs a tad more thrust and a bigger front landing gear.
Hey man, thanks for sharing your video. I was wondering if you had tried 5S on the stock setup? If not, are you planning to? It would be nice to see. I got mine coming in a few weeks and I was already wondering if 5S or even 6 (idk how many cells the brushless can handle) would be an option?
@@lewiemotorsports3616 belly landing takes away the possibility of the gear breaking off and damaging the plane, plus the thing flies better without the gear!
@@patrickconey7643 I just flew my 64 yesterday (you got me hyped) and even though it was dark as hell (8pm) this thing WAKES UP without it. You’re 100% correct. I need to install an afterburner now 😅
Very cool boat and runs! This one is above my current level, but from what I've seen on other cats.. the batteries are as far forward as possible and the triple digit guys even add some lead wheel weights (2oz or so) up front to keep that bow down. BG4L🚤💨
@@MrMad2424 I lowered them and it was much better. I will have the video up soon. Gonna do a tad more to see if I can get it to lay flatter like yours. I’ve watched your and it runs great. I want to hit at least 70mph on 6s.

I have the Rafale too . Flies great but a little tricky landing. I sub’d to your channel. Would be great if you could sub back. I fly mostly edfs. Cheers!
The plane flies nicely but it falls apart oftentimes for no real reason, it s poorly made after having bought it 4 times, you could not give me one for free

Hey Patrick! I trink I watched Videos of your Yak vs Viper (!?) I have also the small futura but your looks pretty fast 👍🏼 I clocked mine only on 6S wir stock motor and QX 2400kv motor. That was 159 km/h or 100mph but my avanti 70 124,5 mph :)) My gifted and repaired V900 on 5S 214km/h or 133,75mph :))
Wait, you put your Futura 64mm on 6s with the stock setup??? Fastest I got in a dive off record was 91mph. I thought about running 6s but the esc is only rated for 4s.
@@patrickconey7643 I learned to fly edfs on the Futura or at least I thought and then met a guy online who fast flying the Marlin tuned and so we came together to the idea of trying 6S setups. That needs of course a bigger esc (60A will fit normally) and 6S EDF. I took the QX 2400kv and he took the Freewing 2500kV which is the more powerful alternative but also a bit more weight. Also you need some 1800-2200 Lipos that aren’t too heavy. We have tried HRB, Yowoo, GensAce and SMC. The best but more heavy were the Yowoo Graphene. The Smc weren’t as good as people say but maybe they were not A-quality from the Shop of Netherlands. With this setups you can go unlimited vertical. But after crashing after just three or four flights I rebuild it with the stock 4S. After gaining confidence again I tried a small 5S 1300 and it was a blast! Because I had that 20-25% of extra power with the same Lipo weight or less :) I have a short on my channel called Jump 🤣 I also tried 6S but that fried a bit the motor and it lost power. Hmm, I'm looking at this boat and it seems like a good buy for the potential upgrades. I would get this over the new Recoil 2 priced the same, but a much shorter 18" hull. Yeah it has self righting and nice paint, but probably even more unstable once you try going faster than box stock They are pretty nice out of the box though👍
