This song is magnificent thanks to the great vocal harmony of Terry Sylvester... Without his voice this song would not have been anything important on the album Another Night....
Wish it had been released as a single. I play this song in various mixes at parties and without fail someone will ask me about it. A hidden gem. So glad that I didn’t miss this one.
This Time Love She'll be the One to take my Heart and never set it free. Oh Love I don't know how long I can wait..Oh this time Love You're asking way too much of me .. Inspiring song and nice to hear... 🎉❤
Been years since I last heard this “why would I say goodbye” came out 3 yrs after I lost my mother to cancer and I still remember my mom 31 years later the woman she was, how much she cared about us kids and my dad, I still remember mom telling me this isn’t goodbye witch back then I didn’t understand what she meant now of days I do, I know not everyone believe that your love ones never really leave you there always with you always watching you and showing signs there near or there next to you, I also lost my father 5 yrs ago and having to go on without both my parents has been hard and it’s not something you can just walk away from the memories will always be there, I have said this before I hope both mom and dad are proud of us here and I know I’ll see both of you again thank you for being my mom and dad god knows how much I miss you guys Mom (Laura J Bolte Kelley) 05/26/1945- 04/24/1993 Dad (George L Kelley) 09/15/1941- 04/25/2019
I'm trying desperately to get Lari White's songs featured on these first-time hearing reaction videos that you can literally find in the droves all over RU-vid. All it will take is one listen. Same with Holly Dunn. Two of the most underrated talents ever. Brilliant sings, song writers and entertainers. Incredibly beautiful woman. The only songs I have seen reacted to of Lari's are "Helping Me Get Over You" and Now I Know" and we need allot more people reacting to those two, let alone many other awesome songs she wrote and recorded like this one. With Holly it's always just "Daddy's Hands", but there was some reaction to "Why Wyoming?" and it went over Big. I keep suggesting songs from both ladies they should react too. I had a Suzy Bogguss song reacted too that I mentioned, but I'm still waiting impatiently for Lari and Holly as well as Kelly Willis.
I'm trying to get this song and several others of her's featured on the RN2 Country Channel. That guy is really good, and he knows who Lari was. He's reacted to Lari's songs before.
It’s so hard to comment on this song that a couple of minutes came through my mind and never has listened since 1978 when I bought the whole album in NY; sincerely I always thought that I never ever will find this song again cause it wasn’t a big hit but the people like me who bought the Lp notice they had some kool “ I don’t know what “ that kept in my mind for all this time. I lost the album in time I think at my sister’s house and never asked for it and just today a Thursday of June 13/ 24 I’m hearing it again. I must admit that there were a couple of songs in this album that were worth the price of 3.96 $$ at that time. Thanks to whoever made it possible to hear it again. Now I’m 68 and love music like in my youth. Blessings to all of you.

I loved this song, loved many of her great songs that were never released as singles. I still think this could have been a huge hit. Maybe even a song of the year candidate with a good video. "Woman of the World", and "Something Blue" also could have been huge hits off the "Don't Fence Me In" album. I also think that "You Can't Go Home Again" or "Only God Could Stop Me Loving You" her duet with Toby Keith from her 1998 "Stepping Stone" CD could have been song of the year. That entire CD was loaded with huge hit singles that never saw the light of day. "This Is Love" had a big Number 1 written all over it. Lari had one of the greatest voices ever. It breaks my heart that she never got the acclaim and recognition she justly deserved. Still she won 3 Grammy Awards, despite routinely being snubbed by clueless Country Radio.
I just lost my dad this week, and this is one of the songs I struggled to remember from my childhood riding around in his truck with the B+D CD. This brings back memories, and now I'll think of him every time I listen to B+D...
Such understatement is hard to find. This song expresses something very important to us all which is not easy to put into words. This is a complete success in the singing, the melody and the lyrics. One of my favourite singers: gentle and tough and understated. Beautiful.
I saw them twice in the late seventies, supporting Lynyrd Skynyrd at the Hammersmith odeon,& at the Rainbow theatre, the support was City Boy,great night.
