Pop said when he first got the '70 Kadett 1100 and drove it for a circuit of the newly opened Interstate 285, "...it had plenty of pedal left when I ran out of nerve at 80..." I suppose having "plenty of pedal left" means that the car might not have had the poop to get past the low 80 mph range no matter how hard you pushed it... Pop had been a bomber pilot accustomed to enemy fire in WW II and Korea and he received a distinguished flying cross, he was pretty much unflappable.
Yep! That is true. This car however, was made prior to Audi buying them. Many folks argue that the cars made prior to Audi are “more purely Italian.” The pre-Audi cars are also likely less reliable.
@mediabybrendan2654 True but the Diablo was built when Chrysler owned Lamborghini and Chrysler had a part in designing this car which makes the Diablo also less Italian.
