I am about purchase cricut mug press . Do you think I should get this or cricut mug press . And also do I have purchase different sizes adapters for the machine you are showing here
If you’re planning on sublimating on different sizes of drinkware. Then, the Cricut mug press might not be the best fit. I always recommend heat press nation equipment and I like this press because you can press a lot of sizes with it. This press comes with two attachments: one for 11-15oz mugs and another for 12-30oz tumblers. Both attachments are included with the press. Here’s the link for it if you need it: shrsl.com/476ut
@@One.Craft.Avenue I am in newzealand though . I was searching for this brand which is not available unfortunately but this one definitely available in Australia. Hope I will get the shipping cost less . Thank you for guidance .
Thank you so much. I had no idea that they had even come off and was searching RU-vid for ways to hard reset my Cricut because it wouldn’t work the night before my son’s birthday and I was finishing up some decorations. You’re a lifesaver!
Apologies for the late reply! Yes, these are glass cups that are made for sublimation, and they have special coating. Normal glass cups will not work with sublimation
Thank you for not wasting my time with a 5 min story about why you got your cricut (though I'm sure it's a lovely story). This video showed me exactly what I need to do and it's fixed!!!
Can you pick the vinyl up again after you have printed or if you wanted to make more than one shirt would you wash and store the whole screen with the tape on, or do you have to do it in all one sitting if you want to make multiples?
If you’d like to do more than one shirt, then permanent vinyl isn’t the way to go! You’ll need to use HTV instead. You take out the mesh screen out of the screen printing frame, and press your HTV design (280F for 20 seconds) on it before popping it back onto the frame. This way, you’ll have a reusable screen printing frame with the design - just wash and reuse!
I’m new to all things Cricut. What is the best method for mugs and the glass cup you used in your video: sublimation/heat press, adhesive vinyl, perm vinyl?
If you don’t have a sublimation printer then permanent vinyl is the way to go! Sublimation is more durable than vinyl for sure; it’s printed on the object and it’s peel proof!
Hey so I’m wondering how to use the heat press for making tote bags but every time I use it it doesn’t stick and it just burns the bag do you have any ideas on how to make it stick and not burn the bag thanks!
@@One.Craft.Avenue I’m using cricuit mini heat press and im new the cricuit as I had got it as a Christmas present but it won’t stick and I’m using full heat I believe I am not sublimating as I don’t exactly know how to thanks for your help so far!
@AvazBr4celets are you using iron on vinyl? I would not go with the highest temperature, and you’ll need to not let it sit on one spot - just move it across the design while applying pressure. You’ll also need to check the instructions of your iron on vinyl: it could be a cold peel meaning you have to let it completely cool down before removing the carrier sheet
Hi!Are there substitutes for sublimation? Like air fryers and regular stove ovens ? Also if you can ise any of those is that when you use the tight wrap ? Can you also use a blow dryer instead of a heat gun ? Im just curious because i have nothing but sublimation paper so i would like to know what i can use and if it works i can slowly invest in whats needed. Also are there two different kinds of these cups? I see some opeque and others that are transparent like regular glass
Hi 👋🏻 I would not use your home oven, but you can definitely use a countertop convection oven and dedicate it for sublimation. I have seen people use an air fryer too, but I wouldn’t use it for cooking afterwards. Lastly, sublimation glass cups are clear and frosted. I think you can use your hair dryer for the shrink wrap, but it might take longer than a heat gun!
I recently stumbled across your videos and love how in depth you go! I am just starting my very own sublimated cup business and am having trouble with my prints! I am using an epson 2803 printer with HIIPOO sublimation ink on A-sub paper. I design everything in canva and can’t figure out my print settings. The only thing I plan to sublimate are frosted glass cups and every time I print my design it’s either super faded or has lines all over it. I’d love some guidance on how I can get these vibrant printed designs like yours. I use a Mac and don't know what my print settings should be
I personally like the clear, but some people don’t like it since the design is on clear glass. With clear glasses, the design looks different depending on the drink that is in it. So, it’s totally a personal preference!
