You can install just the slip on onto the stock exhaust. The only reason to do a full titanium exhaust is to save a couple extra kg apparently gets rid of heat better (not too sure bout that) and creates a slightly very slightly different sound. Overall id say not worth the money for a full exhaust system as the catalytic converters are inside the stock v2 muffler so deleting that also deletes the cats
Hi. I have same bike with a lot of the same mods! I am stuck though on Full Akra, or slip on. Do you think the slip ons make a significant difference to the sounds pls?
We done on your first vlog Tolly. I said it elsewhere on your channel that I love your choice of mods, a classy effort all round mate. Hopefully you are still loving your Bayliss, all the best. Cheers Steve
G’day Tolly, You’ve done this bike justice, very subtle at first until you go back over the bike & spot more upgrades. This Bayliss has been done with restrained class. Troy would probably applaud your efforts Tolly. Cheers Steve
What a beauty, I would be extremely stressed riding one of these being afraid not to drop it even with all the protection installed. The only thing to make me ride it with confidence would be a full insurance.
Hi there, would you be prepared to share where and what the after nods are on a list. My bayliss was due for collection today but damn reg plate hasn’t arrived so can’t collect. Gutted.
Digging the videos. Looking at getting one in the fall time frame, curious how the bike has been holding up, and concerns you've got as we hit the summer months, or anything like that?
Can I please have the torque specs for both side of the bar end for the brake lever guard and the torque spec for the reflector delete? Thank you for your help. Beautiful looking Bayliss you got!
Excellent weight saving! Just going on a diet to shed 5.7 lg or about a stone! Will cost me nothing and achieve the same weight saving on my V2! Lol, Nice exhaust however 👍
Hi, Thank you👍, what a nice bike to upgrade from, you can't go wrong with either and i did look at the F3 before buying the V2 and its a gorgeous bike, but after owning a 959 for a while i just fell in love with the twin engine😍Its a personal choice really so let me know what you went for👍 Cheers.
Just bought mine from Australia, waiting for it to be delivered, I do beer reviews simple and fun so subscribe and like for me too. Love a beer, bikes and a yarn. Great vid.
this is a sweet bike, i have a krt kawasaki 2020 and i am contemplating purchasing this bike just because it looks so beautiful and with the upgrades even more beautiful. after some more research i will make a decision, if this bike cant perform like my machine, there is no reason to make the purchase. in my opinion of course, still the bike is beautiful, well done!
Would you mind sharing where you got those red spacers to eliminate the stupid reflectors it comes with? Also any insight into what throttle spacer you used? Just took delivery of mine today. Love your upgrades. Flawless bike sir.
Awesome bike mate. Can’t wait to get mine (NZ)… those Akras sound amazing. Tasty mods, too. I admit to stealing some of your upgrade options for my build…! Safe riding mate
I have also recently bought the V2 BAYLISS. Great to see how the mods look on the bike. Good reference for purchasing or not. . Now it's time to invest on riding skills to get rid of those chicken strips on your bike. That's where the most beautiful mod can be done and it won't cost a penny.
V2 bayliss is not a slow bike , it looks like V2 S only with bayliss add on stuff , best balanced bike over all, V4 is too much honestly, after riding for couple months on V2 bayliss , you don’t need more power, just cut more weight on V2 , and still it is a lot to handle of a bike, my brother owns 2014 R1 , his bike got high flow filter and a slip on exhaust with a 520 sprocket conversion, my V2 bayliss is stock, and I still took him by 2 motorcycles in length
@@tolly55 I had monster 1200 before and now I have V2 Bayliss, I never that it will be really comfortable on V2, interesting if Ducati will release something like V2 SP model 😆 , we have street fighter SP , monster SP and even V4 SP, just a thought 💭
Cheers Tolly, I absolutly love the sound of your exhaust. Did I hear you correctly when you said, they are slip on's and NOT the FULL SYSTEM ??? I am now subscribed and ready for more Bayliss V2 content !
😂😂Thank you for subscribing, i will try and get some more content out soon👍. Yes just the Akra slip-ons, the full system looks amazing but I couldn't justify the extra cost and fitting a full system is a big deal! I just wanted to get the cat off the thing and the slip-ons are dead easy to fit and sound fantastic. Thanks again👍
Im suffering with my tensor muscles during riding with the v2. What can i do to get used to the riding position pls? I can t ride like 1 hour straight. Im riding from gas station to gas station right now . Pls any solution?
Hi Polak, sorry to hear that...sounds painful, I'm not really sure what to suggest.....maybe have a really good stretch out before you ride or invest in adjustable rear sets and set to a more relaxed leg position I'm not sure? I suffer from neck pain every now and then but it won't stop me riding mine🤣. let me know how you get on and if you find a way of making it more comfortable for you. Cheers.
Hi E Z, I'm not sure about that!, if your in California and its legal then it should be legal if you put it on your V2🤔, I guess it all depends on where you are, different countries, states etc.. will have different laws. The Akra exhaust is technically illegal here in the UK because it has 'Not for road use' stamped on it.....but we use them anyway and i've had no issues. Cheers and ride safe👍
300 subscriber - lovely bike. Thought about getting one but went for the Streetfighter V4S stealth as I am 50 and my body can’t do sportsbikes for more than 30 mins.
57 and only just into my second year on big bikes and after 6,000 miles on a CBR650R last year just bought a Panigale V2 after a long (3+ hours) test rode last autumn. Yes it’s wristy but my back was fine and despite the night pegs the legs were fine too! So if you see a slightly porky older chap on a red one it might be me! Did Austria and back last year with my son on a V4S and this year he’s on a V4 SP2 while I join him on my first Ducati for Italy! It’s going to me amazing! And with 155bhp I won’t hold him up as much as last year!
Thanks, I’m trying to get the boot guard R&G but I can’t find it. They directed me to a generic one that I need to cut. But I love yours better. The link to the product or name of it will be greatly appreciated
How long did it take you to get used to the heat? I sold mine because I couldn’t cope with it, it broke my heart it really did as I had pictures of it on my wallpaper and watched every review 30 times before I got mine. I’ve had 899’s, 959 and 848’s and none ran anywhere near as hot as my v2 which was over 100 degrees in any sort of slow moving traffic…. Even now watching this I feel sad. I had one of the very first v2’s in 2020 but I found the blipper really inconsistent and buggy and the mirrors were horrendous, I was going to remove mine tbh
Hi, I got used to the heat pretty quick, I had a 959 before my V2 so I knew what I was in for😂, I can't notice a heat difference between the two both seem the same to me! It's just something that's never bothered me🙂. I wouldn't be without mine I love the thing🤪👍. Cheers.
That’s very sad! Would probably be worth you having the pipes ceramic coated! Keep the heat in the pipes which actually helps get the exhaust gasses out more efficiently and increases power a bit! Did some long test rides late last summer and it is hot in town but I can live with it.
