I'm guessing Australians call a BRAT a Brumby because in Australia A BRAT is a big sausage. 😂 LMAO! Check out my cool Subaru Fat Sausage!😂😂😂🍻 I haven't a clue what a Brumby might be.
Oh, sorry for flooding the comments. My VE Valiant that I owned at one point in Rocky was Sky Blue with VIP front discs, a Black VIP interior, and had stabilisers, heavy duty shocks with HD air shocks on the back. It was a 225 with extractors and a bigger carb. It had the 8-slot Bubblegum mags with 225s on the back and 215s on the front. That's as wide as I could go without tubbing it. If you know Rocky, I could do the George street/Albert street (from the South) corner at just under 60kmh. It had a weird quirk where if I cornered hard into a left-hander, the engine would die. I never figured out the issue but learned to corner in a more civilised way on the left-hand turns. Sorry for rambling, but I loved that car. I also had a Kombi when I lived there, and a few other 'classics'. I guess Rocky wasn't all that bad.
5:05 Back in the 70s, my dad was a mechanic at Zupps Used cars at Aspley in Bisbane. He got to drive many of the trade-ins for a few days to make sure they were running okay. He came home with a number of different cars over time but the one I remember in particular besides an HQ Statesman Deville was an original Pink GTR/XU1 Bathurst special. What a beast of a car.
Wow! I worked at CQU in the buildings in Buzzacott Drive. I remember when that patch of bush between the uni and Amart got sold but left Rocky in 2010 and haven't been in that part of town for years. I had to check Google maps for Autobarn, because when I lived there, Autobarn was on Musgrave Street. So you've got a new Bunnings too? I remember the old Bunnings and how much of a pain it was to deliver there. Hey, thanks again for the video and memories. I'll be back up Rocky way this year. My youngest daughter still lives there.
It's been just draped from the ceiling down the back ,over by barnfind svx for so long I can't remember. Would be from ebay. Agreed, very pleasantly surprised how good it cranks
