Update: this video is absolutely amazing. I watched it like 20 times during the install, you are right in terms of the 650mm hose they gave is way too long. Lots of cutting and fine tuning with all the hoses for the catch can. Make sure you use good plyers when dealing with hose clamps, I struggled hard for this one...
Careful talking about EGR delete these days, might get yourself a visit and a fine. My EGR _valve_ is functioning just fine. Spanking clean, has been for a good few months now. I'm doing the catchcan install tomorrow morning, giving the whole intake a good clean out too, as well as replacing all cold side piping. Good to have a straight forward run-through, cheers.
I can’t really remember too much of what it sounded like before but with the hot pipe and removing the baffle in the airbox you definetly hear more spool over a stock nav.
It sucks doesn’t it!! Haha I lubed her up with a heap of goss dri lube a bit after this vid was made and it fixed the sqeek for quite a while haha. Edit: it actually hasn’t squeaked since.
Nah mate I don’t, but it’s pretty easy, they detach without breaking anything. You need to have the box out of the car and the muffler on the side twists and then you can pull it off.
Yeh I really wish I did a video on that but it was a rush job. Not hard at all tho. Just add a bit of kerosene and block off the ends and shake it around, drain it out and repeat until it’s clean/ blue. I just needed to unbolt the good latch to get the cooler out as it’s a bit tight.
Hey bud, not quite a success, little hiccup with my air box being to big!! I've got a "08 Nav ST-X Spain" it seem the airboxes from an 08 model are different from a 2012 and upwards!
Hey dude, I just put on my Plazmaman hotside pipe and need to put on the new hardpipe that connects to the intercooler. Did you happen to do this? Do I just need to remove the grill to put it on? Cheers mate
Sam Kelly I did do that pipe too. I took my grille off(super easy job) and intercooler too as there had been a lot of built up dust and road debris in between the cooler and rad that I cleaned out while I was there. There is also a nut/bolt behind the grille that needs to be loosened or removed to take the pipe off.
I think I have the same muffler between the 2 rubber hoses only it's not plastic.Will I notice a difference on the turbo sound if I remove it?(ps it's an 171hp model I run a straight pipe exhaust and and an ecu remap).I also think the garrett turbo is louder on this model the borgwarner your nav's running

Hey man I also have 2012 Navara and I wanted to install a new hard pipe aswell so I ordered a plazmaman pipe but it came with a circlip connection. What's the difference between yours and mine. Cheers
Hey guys I just bought a plazmaman hardpipe for my 2012 pathfinder it’s the same as navara. I’m not sure about the circlip connection also. The pipe doesn’t have the plastic tabs on it like the standard pipe. Any suggestions?
@@shaunbutler615 yeah for different models there's different types of Connections, so for your pipe you'll have a silicone connection with a hose clamp at the top end and for the bottom you'll have just the circlip. You'll have to put your circlip onto the new piping then push the new pipe onto the bottom connection until you hear a click. Use abit of grease if you have it'll make it easier.
I’m not 100% sure mate, this was quite a while ago, but the needle and seat had to be changed to the largest one available and then cross drilled too. But it ended up starving and kept emptying the fuel bowl under hard accel so I went with a EFI setup. I bought the Weber already setup minus the new needle and seat. Off www.turbogemini.com.au
what modifications were done to the carby? im trying to build my 32/36 for this set up on 2.0L Honda engine. I have the boost refrence FPR as well as the EfI fuel pump. I have the version 1 K&N top hat and the boost refrence power valve. what else am I missing? and what needs to be changed on the carby? can I delete the choke? thanks
